DOOM : The longer he stays on Earth , The More Powerful he becomes. Serious Sam : The creature is only temporarily stunned , if you do not act it will rise again. Both of them are seriously badass bosses and it will remain eternal in our hearts these games.
Wel...serious sam 4 copied a lot from doom eternal, that's why it's so unpolished and the dialogue and characters are so terrible written. At least that's my best theory, i mean it makes me remember to DC wanting to make an avengers movie with justice league but rushing everything, they should've made serious sam 4 sort of like doom 2016, a requel with old school gameplay mixed with new things
Final Sam 4 when Sam kills ugh zan: *trying to find a one liner* Doom eternal when the doom guy kills the icon of sin: *walks away like nothing even happened and looked like a badass by just walking*
@@khalidkhothiwale7928 a much smaller muscular dude called Sam serious stone took him out, so yeah I think the icon of sin would kill the serious Sam boss if he stays on earth long enough. Because the LONGER THE ICON OF SIN IS ON EARTH, THE STRONGER IT WILL BECOME
@@Dauntlessnessess and one cant die without the most powerful sword in the game and only from one of the most powerful video game characters of all time
Both aren't used to their full potential. Icon of Sin just stands around smacking his arms on top of a building unable to smash it down, pretty weak. Ugh-Zan also just stands around. In both cases, they're being protected by smaller enemies as if they're not bad ass enough to face you on their own.
i always like to imagine that the doomslayer, serious sam, duke nukem and bj blazkowicz are all from the same universe. one big avengers moment needs to happen with these oldschool legends
I’ll say these 2 bosses are pretty much equal, the Icon of Sin has a worse first phase as all you do is shoot him but he attacks you much more often, while Ugh Zan has a much more fun and interesting first phase but doesn’t really attack you much, all in all I love both these games equally!
the reason it's so easy to kill the icon is because it had just then arrived on earth, so it wasn't yet strong enough to resist the slayers weapons, because the icon of sin is a stupid dumbass and can't just work normally like every other titan, if the slayer hadnt reacted fast enough he just wouldn't have been able to kill the icon
@@SoupyBnuy that and the fact that the slayer released him from having a real functioning brain (aka the betrayer's son which controlled the icon till slayer stabbed it) so he doesn't know what he's doing either. He just knows he has to destroy.
Your definition of worse is definitely off because the icon of sin is actually a fun fight. That serious sam boss battle looks boring as all hell in comparison. Its not even attacking
Love Doom Eternal. Never played a serious sam game ever but the SS4 boss fight is what I was hoping the Icon of Sin fight would have been. Very Shadow of the Colossus.
I love both games, but I like and prefer Serious Sam more since I grew up with it and it was also my first game so it's normal. You should give it a try :P
@@Acefdiamonds ???? The Doom games literally talk about how the Doom Slayer has single-handedly ripped the hearts of titans out of their bodies. A shadow of the Colossus style would fit perfectly, because Doom Slayer has been described as having fights just like them in the lore. It’s just that the developers did not want to spend that amount of time creating such a boss fight.
@@Acefdiamonds Well, crash course in Doom history: In Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal, the character you play as is about 10 Trillion years old. He’s literally so old, in fact, not even the Truly Immortal Deities who control hell can actually remember when or why the Doom Slayer began his crusade. He is the only thing the domain of Hell itself fears in all of conceivable Existence and Reality. Even without the Praetor Armor, the Doom Slayer was 100% Immortal, and legends say he ripped the hearts of multiple titans out of their chests Bare-Handed while the Doom Slayer was entirely naked. The Praetor Armor essentially takes the God Status he already had and amplified his Godhood Infinity x Infinity x Infinity x Infinity x Infinity x Infinity x Infinity x Infinity. There literally is absolutely nothing that can stop the Doom Slayer, to the point that the Doom Eternal DLC literally ends with Doom Slayer killing the True Creator God, the very being responsible for even creating Doom Slayer.
In the doom lore this could be possible because there are other universes with other earths in doom, so maybe one universe has duke Nukem and another has serious Sam
Man,from what I remember, some secret bosses of duke nukem were almost impossible, even my dad (that had like 20 years of playing videogames) couldn't pass them without the god cheat
So, in conclusion: In Doom you spend more time fighting Icon's goons with him kinda "being there" and slapping the rooftop. In Serious Sam you just doing parkour in the first phase and have a not that intense fight after, which is pretty like SS1's final boss, where you're running around him and trying to destroy his projectiles. Both fights are great but the "giant" concept itself is pretty hard to make intense
Only Sam 3 had it right, they should have kept on that path making them faster and faster, as Monster Hunter did (although they still have these traditional giant boss too, like Zorah) I mean *especially* since fps characters can run so damn fast.
I think a lot of ways to make a fight against a giant interesting and challenging is to give them a bunch of AoE attacks but give you plenty of speed or moves you can use to maneuver from said attack, that way he can be given more moves but also being challenging in a way
@@cool_knockoutproblem with balancing fights with giants is that developers do not want to alienate people from playing by not giving you means of healing (Doom where small enemies basically walking health packs) and if you delete small enemies having weak attacks for a giant is kinda lame. I think best way is give to the player the ability to heal by having some heal items and ammo packs somewhere in the fight. And give the giant faster moveset
Serious sam boss: gets attacked by an endless soldiers that screams and die Icon of sin: has an army of demons and an advance armor but still gets clapped by the DOOM SLAYER
Am I the only one who likes Serious Sam 2? People seem to be mixed on that game but I thought it was the best game in the series. Then again, still have yet to try Next encounter. I have it on the GameCube right now.
The thumbnail I'm hearing Doom Slayer : Sam Sam : Slayer Doom Guy : Oh your coming closer, instead of running away your coming right at me Sam : I can't beat the shet out of you without getting closer Doom Slayer : then come as close as you liked Btw their stand are enormous
Serious Sam's badass levels are not 'Final Boss"es. They are "Final Battle"s. Like, ENDLESS enemies coming to you with BADASS music at the background. The final bosses is just the punchline. Doom doesnt have that "endless" battles...
Sam will probably respect Doom guy, because he is a hero too. Doom guy might get annoyed because Sam keeps spamming one liners lol. But they will probably get along.
the fact that serious Sam is created by Croatian game developers is stunning because of those good graphics I remember when the first version of serious Sam was just textures copied from Google and now it's fully detailed game
@@MrSoso1050 Represent what? the fact the IoS and the Doomslayer had fought several times before? or the fact the Doomslayer is so immensely strong and capable he came out victor in the end? Lore=/=Gameplay.
Sam wouldnt last a second in the doom universe, cuz why you ask?,its very hot like more hotter then anything in the universe and plus an entire infinite army of demons will try to stop him from doing anything so most likely sam would lose this fight
I mean its very obvious sam wouldnt last a second in the doom universe, while doom slayer would just snap all sams enemys in just seconds cuz why?,hes blessed by angels, killed several gods, stayed in hell for centuries to keep the demons off of planet earth, soo yeah doom slayer would likely win
Sam: Hi my name is Sam and I fight demons and monsters for a living Doom Guy: *silently stares and grunts* Sam: Hmm nice talk. We should do this more often.
Serious Sam just kinda vaguely fires in his bosses direction while the doomslayer has a multistage boss fight that ends with him having to sacrifice one of the most powerful items in the game and o actually kill the icon of sin. If ugh zan where to try and kill the icon of sin he would need the sword.
The absurd amount of npc soldiers in serious sam's final boss scene is extremely goofy, also the fact that they all have the same celebration animation at the end made me laugh.
Yeah, croteam took too much of a bite with final battle and run out of budget at the end. Serious Sam 4 is fine game, but lack a lot of polish, i hope fans will patch things up eventually.
Serious Sam final bosses where never Better than ugh zan the 3rd as a character, as boss fights my favourite in sam games was probably the exotech larva, the others are kind of forgettable
icon of sin may be slightly smaller but his power completely oblidirates the other guy. the longer hes where he is he becomes stronger not only specifyed on earth plus he can drain the power of smaller obscule and less powerfull opponents so all the smaller beings die instantly and become exorbed and become his power eventually it will get to a point where he exorbs the finale boss's energy
I like ugh zan more because of the action with grapling hook, but hes definitelly not better that ugh zan III. When i was young like 4 years ugh zan III scared me and i wanted for my dad to do that part of level. As i got braver i started to like that bossfight so much, i think its best bossfight from SS games. But i dont think it would be same with ugh zan IV. He isnt coming towards you like im fokin big and will stomp you, doesnt break anything and does practicaly nothing. So its unused potential for him. (For somebody i ment the SS games that are part of one story SS first encounter, SS second encouter, SS2, SS BFE, SS4
In Doom Eternal’s lore it says that not only, will the Icon of Sin become stronger the longer it’s on earth. But will create a Black Hole, which can not only end the earth but the whole universe. And the universe is infinite in size, also the Icon Of Sin is immortal. Doom Slayer’s Crucible only put it in stasis it’s not really dead, the Icon Of Sin wins and solos the verse. P.S. Doom Eternal’s music is better.
For the music it really depend on your taste since the 2 game have different style of music one is more futuristic the other more retro style rock and roll
In concept Ugh-Zahn is way, way better but in execution I feel Icon of Sin is a much tighter boss fight even though it's far more boring in how you fight it. Serious Sam 4 had massive development issues so it makes sense the boss was left unfinished but I feel if it had enemies who are riding on the boss' platforms defending him along with the boss being more aggressive with more interesting attack patterns then it would have been great stuff, even if the mech fight in the second phase was lame. The Icon of Sin however is really just another Doom Eternal arena fight against mobs except with a big, slow God of War monster you have to focus on that occasionally attacks - sure it's the better executed fight but is also not creative at all and is just kinda dull.
I think in doom eternal, the dev team was too focused on being true to the classic doom to bring nostalgy into the game. They shouldve chosen a more innovative approach like they did in Doom 2016
Now take in concideration that Serious Sam 4 is made by 40 people and doom eternal by 2,5k! And both games got their own original engines, both are great but damn.. That soundtrack from Serious Sam is my favourite
You know what? The doomslayer is actually pretty sad. Sam has a lot of friends, that he hangs out with. Doomslayer is all alone. No wonder, they made him an animal crossing crossover
Hm, you just made me wonder which is more sad.. The Doom Slayer that had no one Except his rabbit at the start or Sam that he had and lost everyone and became the last man on earth
They need to do a new better graphic version of serious Sam 4 because that end battle is off the chain but I would love to see a updated version of that same battle but better graphics
