@@awesomesaucegaming101 I doubt that'll even happen given how arrogant and egotistical idSoftware has started to become ever since the release of Doom 2016. They still haven't apologized for fucking over Trent Reznor and I highly doubt that kind of attitude will change with Mick Gordon as well.
Shotgun and a grenade launcher combo is the most badass thing I've ever seen, and it annoys me how in games with gun customiztion, this is rarely an option.
I mean, can you really blame the devs for wanting to try something new? Granted, they could have put cracks in the ground with lava pouring out and the trees burning, like the demons are trying to destroy the land or something, but I kinda like the change in atmosphere. I'm playing DOOM 2016 currently and I'll admit only switching between labs and Hell for the millionth time can get pretty boring
You’re right, they should have done the same boring generic fire and skulls with the occasional metal hallway that they’ve been doing for 3 decades now. So smart.
@@rapatacush3doom eternal is the kind of game where every weapon has a very distinct use. The pistol immediately getting outclassed by every other weapon doesn't work well with DE's whole "chess but violent" schtick
@@lsgmatt9817 There's quite literally footage out there of Doom Eternal's pistol in action though? It's a fully completed and fully functioning asset that you can access in the game's files. The reason why it was cut was because idSoftware just didn't know how to balance it with the rest of the weapons without causing any redundancy.
