Hello, my friend. The plan goes on very well, as you continue your expansion. It's very good that you control almost the entirety of Mirkwood, since you go for Ost-in-Geil the big stack that roams around Legolas will have to turn southwards, trying to reach Thranduil or Celeborn. Orthordir won a majestic victory, I was a bit afraid for him at the start, but as the battle progressed I was confident. Of course, Duinburg should be reinforced. About the units you disbanned, I would merge them with others that have casualties, so as to bolster their numbers, but it's very much OK. I'm very happy that you heard my advice to go for Dor Naurhach and sell Tirith Anduin to Rohan, it's much more useful. And the last Mirkwood target should be Dor Lhingvar, which is also a Castle and will shield your eastern borders against Rhun. Your economy will recover in due time, so this part is secure. And now, let's get another episode for our story: Orthordir got very easily in Duinburg, with the help of some Humans that gave him a secret passage to take down the Orcs. He needed only a company of archers and a small band of swordsmen, so as to set the Orc camp ablaze into the night and with the archers he killed whichever Orc trie to escape, as the others got up on the walls into the night by sniping the guards. However, immediately after, a very big force, with Trolls and Humans that were called from the East, came along to siege him even before he could set order in the castle.He sent messengers and Legolas answered immediately, sending as many troops as he could. But instead, the very big army still threatened him, being six to one. "I have no problem to this", Orthordir said to his captains, "we are more worthy than them. One of us can take down more than six". Orthordir proved how good of a commander he was. His trenches and empechments were set in such a way that he wanted the Orcs funneled in a small road that was guarded. Because he had no illusions that the crowd of the Orcs would come through the gates. But till then, the towers did their job and sniped the Trolls one by one and the cavalry charged against a sturdy wall of spears. The Orc commander then chose the very old tactic to throw simply bodies on the Elfs to take them out, exploiting their numbers. But in the front there were the very notorious Shadowguard, with one Marksmen unit and the Guards with their long scimitars. Fortunately, the units that Legolas sent were good units, with one of them being Sentries. Those were able to progressively kill the Marksmen, giving the advantage of the range to the Elfs, while the spear wall kept the Shadowguard at bay. Though the fight lasted for three hours, as more and more orcs simply fell upon the Elfs in an attempt to take them down with their sheer mass. Orthordir entered the battle with his bodyguard carving a path among the Orcs with shields and spears, until he reached the Orc commander. A simple stab in the face killed him, breaking eventually the spirit of the Orcs, who ran away. But during this run, they fell upon the trenches and the empechments, thus they could not run and were slaughtered. Finally, despite being battered by axes and curved swords, depite that he lost his shield and in the end he had to swing his spear with both hands - losing it as well due to an axe and fighting with his arming sword and a sheild he found somewhere - Orthordir and the very few standing Elfs around him were victorious. Thranduil was very satisfied by his old companion after hearing the news. "Very good", was his reaction. "Orthordir is a capable commander and I trust him to do as my will is, as he is actually my voice. He will meet with Lord Celeborn when he takes Rhosgobel and together we'll all have a council. In my sight there is also Dor Lhingvar, so as to complete Eryn Lasgalen". Everyone around him nodded.

What a great episode, very much enjoyed it a lot.

I don't really have a specific settlement in mind, but it could be a good idea to move your capital to a more centralized location to help with public order and such so some settlements are so far away from the capital.
