I'm not a doomster at all, but this tone sounds really good. I have the humongous fuzz but don't dig it all... But I think I'll try again in another context, after watching this vid. It wasn't what I expected, so I just played it for like 10 minutes and then plugged my HM-2 back in (I'm not a typical HM-2 SDM guy btw, só that wasn't what I was expecting either.. I look at the HM-2 as a fuzz/boost pedal).
So the humongous fuzz really dictates the play style. It's a giant wall of nastiness and works best, imo, with big chords. Now, I will be demoing some other fuzz pedals very soon with this pickup that might be more for you. In particular I tend to go more muff style fuzzes for my doom sound and I'll be demoing one of my favorite kinds of big muffs very soon.
