Doom Slayer Chronicles + Project Brutality 3.0 - Unholy Cathedral #1 [NO LAG]

It is compatible with such mods like Brutal Doom, Project Brutality, Guncaster and tons of other mods, probably it only depends on you. The *ATMOSPHERE* in this mappack is great - that feeling when you enter the Arena is something hard to describe. The Episode II called "Unholy Cathedral" is something way different than the previous dark rooms and underground tombs with cold colors and lots of light. Only the first hub is styled to a Cthulhu theme with tons of dark colors, pools of lava and typical oriented decorations. It is also a Hub that will give you most of the heart bumping moments in this episode. It can be also a quite buggy one because sometimes not all the demons will be teleported to the Arena. The next hub is the Hangar - a mix of the techbase and Inferno oriented levels. In some locations you might feel once again like on Deimos - the techbase mixed with hellish growth everywhere. Because you probably have much more weapons, the demons here won't be a much problem like before. Third hub is an UAC compound - starts with a nice snow environment. It's just a presentation of UAC technology, and a very long hub. There are lots of the engagements for you, definetely not a short one segment with a Boss fight at the end. When all of these 3 hubs are finished, the real challenge is about to come... a really difficult one on Mars with a border high difficulty for you. Holy shit the level of detail in those maps is insane! o_0 Now I want to see the DOOM Slayer fight off Cthulhu and other Lovecraftian horrors.

The mod certainly looks beautiful, and I loved seeing the dev videos of all the new tech being implemented in it like the PBR Lighting effects, heat distortion from the lava, and more! Always enjoy seeing people push the Doom Engine to its limit with the help of GZ Doom. But I kinda wish it focused on being a story mod instead of every level being a wave-based survival map. I can only imagine there are so many times you can hear that groaning sound that comes with every "Next Wave in 5 Seconds" announcement before it gets grating on your nerves.

modifications like these ones are the reason I never played doom 2016. the oriignal doom is still kicking, still got a lot of juice in it and still fun.

I had hoped this would be more of a game rather than the wave after wave affair it turned out to be. Shame because the level design is great, it just felt like it was made by someone wanting to play quake arena.

Fantastic level design and atmosphere. Bit weird how they implemented the gameplay though. Pick up a skull to start a wave. Doom doesn't need to have the player pick up items to start wave based combat.

BD 21 just reached its final form. All its left is PB 3 to be released.

Foot steps and head bob are not necessary. It gets to my head so much. It really makes me bothered since every FPS refuses to do that but whenever a modder does it it feels so terrible.

Guys, i know that it looks fantastic, but he wasn't plaing on PB 3.0 but PB 2.03. Why? Animations are much worse and SST is look different...

Good video. You should however learn to aim for the head or at least the neck instead of the pelvis area, it's a newbie habbit in FPS games. An easy way of training this is to avoid looking down at the floor while walking.
