@@sandorclegane3658 it definitely won't, Hugo mentioned a streamlining of the controls and things at your disposal BUT those systems you do have, will offer a lot of depth. I personally loved all the stuff available in DE but I get it's not everyone's cup of tea. If you are a fan of the original DOOM games, this will be the closest thing to it in terms of gameplay.

@@FlailheadGaming yeah I'm old and like my doom old-school. 2016 was fantastic. Doom eternal felt like a committee looked at everything in the AAA sphere and said "throw it in"

​@@sandorclegane3658 yeah completely get it. Personally, DE is the best FPS I have ever played. I think its combat loop is genius and very addictive. But yes, Hugo described it recently as a "celebration of videogames". He also said that while DE was "jump and shoot", Doom the Dark Ages will be "stand and fight", with an emphasis on being grounded and projectile dodging like in the old DOOM.
