That's tough, I actually don't expect that from this game. I will most certainly love it, but I don't think it will match Eternal for me, that's a very very high almost unachievable bar for me. It looks like it'll have less verticality, and I will miss the meathook.

the one lesson to be learned from the painkiller has finally been revoked. Stakes with infinite mass pinning bad guys to the walls or sending them flying should be as much a staple of the industry as a grappling hook

I said exactly one thing the moment they showed the shield on screen: If you can't throw that shield and slice a demon in half, I'm boycotting id Software forever. I said this with full confidence knowing that they would absolutely let you throw that shield and slice a demon in half. But not only did they make it so you can throw that shield and slice a demon in half, they made it so you had to rev it like a chainsaw first. Let id just make games forever.

I hope 100% theres an option to reduce the slowdown time on melee finishers/Parrys, or at least an upgrade coin like in the previous game. I aint tryna have 20% of my game be cutscenes, so the more game I play, the less game that gets played.
