DOOM+ V1.2.2 | Brutal Doom v22 BETA 3 | E1M4-E1M8 

I like how Doom fundamentals have not really changed in 30 years. Mods like Brutal doom are really just tweaking an already brilliantly honed set of variables, mostly in difficulty and visual effects.

This is amazing. Thank you so much for creating GZDoom. Heretic will be next. I beat Brutal Doom (1993) except for the expansion (a place with wooden doors and radiation on the floor). On the hardest skill level. I beat Brutal Doom 2 but I did not do the special 2 levels. The story is actually I was homeless in metro Detroit living in the back of my car and my battery died out.

If only GTA had this sheer level of blood and gore... 😞

The maps from Doom+ were modified from the Doom 1 portion of Maps of Chaos but with the inclusion of Console Doom maps and a expanded version of Thy Flesh Consumed, which makes this Ultimate Maps of Chaos.

That's Brutal!

I still got a really old version of these maps. They were simply known as brutal doom co-op and they had a heroic version as well which added even more rooms and enemies. Guess they renamed them when they had people soloing them.

The player animations reminds me of loony toons for some reason. The follow through on them has a "cartoony" look. That's just my biased mind though having grown up in the 90s.

Weapons in the beta feel meatier.

Rocket is weaker than before, to kill a mancubus or arachnotron you'll need 3. Killing cyberdemon with it also harder

Always felt strange to me that brutal doom's weapon sprites were never angled to right. But its not like it makes a difference anyway.

How did you get the HUD to show up? I use the same one as you and it doesn't show... what do I do? btw nice video

When you do episodes 2 through 4, are you going to update to the newest version?

Which of the mods is providing the new weapon graphics? I thought it was brutalv22test3.pk3 but I threw that in my GZDoom folder and I'm still not getting those.
