Why would anyone think that Charles hit Alex with a bat? It's obvious Lori hit him, after SHE shot Charles. Alex was there to dispose and take blame. If Charles hit him, he would have went down. I actually think Alex had a spiritual awakening of sorts after the failed attempt at killing Tammy and/or Brandon so Chad had to finish his wife off. Alex knew he was going to be set up on all the murders. But I don't think he did them all. He spent most of his life protecting them. But he would help Lori clean up the messes, I'm sure. And he was responsible for Charles at Lori's request. I think Chad and Lori took the children out. Alex was called to take them on a joy ride before they passed as evidence shows. He gets married. I would think he might want to spend some time with his wife rather than die and or go to prison for doing anything else after just getting out of trouble for self defense. I love how Prior pronounces the names of the related people wrongly. Even Prior knows that Chad won't get away with all this, and does his best to pave the path for Chad's appeals.

33 minutes in Chad's attorney is trying so hard to make it so all the blame falls on Lori so what I want to know is, why conspiracy to commit murder is not a charge for him? Because it is obviously clear that they wanted to get married and then both their respective spouses are dead and buried in short order.
