Since I never caught anyone in the comments of this or my original video point it out, Squidward goes through the five stages of grief in this. He starts in denial, blaming the other fish for his downfall, when it really was his own mediocrity that caused it. Then, he goes into anger, which is also kinda mixed with denial still. ("What do they know of art?!"). Then, bargaining, (What's one more last resort?). The whole video has a theme of depression but the SpongeBob and Patrick sequence and "turned their backs on me, got no one." is the main selling point. Finally, acceptance. Squidward hypes up his own death in the last three verses, he already knows he's going to do it. He's accepted his death, and he ends things with a bang.

Squidward killing himself more by revenge then actual depression is way more sadder and dark. I love this take.

I must admit I clicked on the video to laugh, how the hell is this actually good 💀 The voice effects hit the balance between fitting and coherent just right, the singing was on rithym and the lyrics, altough not always transcendent, hit very hard at times.

Why is no one talking about 1:21 it’s great the lyrics go along with the art from the red mist retake and that peak in squidwards voice makes it seem like he’s holding back tears kinda it’s really good plus seeing squidward crying with the lyrics makes it even more impactful it’s just a small part of this perfect music video

I already ADORED the lyrics to this from the video by joker, BUT THIS VOICE IS JUST PURE BLISS the high notes are so pleasing to hear yet when it cracks its not like it wasn't on purpose, considering squidward's constant mental anguish so it just makes it EVEN better. This is so fire, well done on the vocals! You know going back to the original creepypasta, wouldn't had been worse that in the concert, SpongeBob and Patrick were the only ones who cheered Squidward? Just think about it: Squidward is on stage, getting all the hate of the audience with those crimson eyes, however, when he is about to leave in tears, he hears 2 applauses that cut the booing death in it's tracks, those being SpongeBob and Patrick, who are not affected by the mist, they are trying to defend him in their own fashion, SpongeBob even does one of his pure and inoccent speeches, something like "How can you all be so mean? Squidward did s fantastic performance, he has the guts to stand up for his dreams, we all should cheer for him!" Squidward feels a bit relieved to know that at the very least he has 2 sparks of hope for his future.. but here is where things get worse: the rest of the audience turns violent on SpongeBob and Patrick. Squidward is shocked in horror how they all beat up violently into his only two fans in the whole city and even he is too scared to move, eventually, the crowd turns at him booong again, carrying the unconcious and bloody bodies of SpongeBob and Patrick, forcing Squidward to flee in horror. I think this version although more dark, it would put even more pressure on Squidward to off himself. Man that was way more darker than in my mind.

Great adaptation, really caught the escense of the original story. I've always thoguht a quite more morbid take on this creepypasta would've been if Spongebob and Patrick actually stayed on character, actually cheering for Squidward on the concert, but this makes all the audience with those bloody red eyes turn on them, actually beating both of them to a pulp, I mean, I don't think to the point of killign them (because people, Spongebob is broken, and Patrick shares some of his traits, I don't think killing them by just beating them will do, however, they can leave them unconcious.) either way, Squidward looking in horror how the crowd takes their anger in the only 2 people who still support him would hit even harder for him to decide to shoot that barrel later on. I mean other than we keep Spongebob and Patrick on character and both being out of comission to stop Squidward, you can still have your creepypasta.
