Thank you Michael! I'm a 70 year old widow with a front door knob that has been very loose for months. Finally, I found your video and it helped me to finally fix it myself although it did take me a good hour to do it watching your video numerous times as I went along. THANK YOU!
You are very welcome Bob, thanks for sharing this. We are happy to hear you came across our video as well & spending a good hour on the project is A-ok!!! We will always be here to help answer questions, you’re never alone!! Hope you enjoyed this past weekend. 😎👍
Thank you! Door handle just fell off in my hands while letting my dog in. Watched your video and figured out how to put everything back together and tighten it up. You saved me! 😊
Perfect walk through and explanation. I was able to fix the front door in under 6 minutes. at 11 pm on a Sunday night, when it was 12 degrees. Mr. Borders, you rock 🤘
Good morning ☕️ thank you. Late night DIY projects can add a bit of added challenge, especially on a Sunday night. Awesome job completing this late at night. 😎👍 Let us know if you have any questions. 👍🧰
Michael I just woke up. Grandsons are over and the house is in chaos. First thing I learn (and I am not a morning person) is the door knob fell off (before I even had my morning coffee). An expensive Weiser door knob on our front door nonetheless. I looked, poked, pried gently etc. Couldn't figure it out! Household now very tense, in the way that only a grumpy old man can make it. I found your video and it is so simple when you (emphasis on you) know what you are doing. Door knob fixed, kids have fresh bowls of Captain Crunch, wife looking at me as if I am a genius. Thank you, thank you, thank you. And now I will drink my coffee.
Bless you for this video. I too am happy you posted it because I was also able to fix my door knob issue. I was at my wits end, thinking I would have to get a locksmith out to fix it. $$$$ I don’t have or could afford. You are a life saver. Happy 2023, May it be all you want it to be and more!
When they say all superheroes don't wear capes they are talking about you. Thank you so much for this video. You just saved me almost $200. The amount I was going to be out because I thought I was going to have to replace my entire door handle. I spent the past day frustrated trying to fix the handle and made several trips to home depot, purchased a handle and then decided to go to RU-vid university and found your video. You are a blessing. Thanks 😊
I previously comment about this video but wanted to expand on why I commented , this video on this type door knob without screw holes was hard to find but is spot on how to tighten a loose door knob of this type, appreciate it a lot 👏🏻
Very grateful for you we've been struggling with a doorknob for a year watching the video made it so easy to put the door knob back now it's nice and secured.
This video is over a year old, but it’s the first one that popped up and I can see why. Thank you so much for your easy step-by-step tutorial. It was perfect!

I did not have this exact type of door knob but your video got me started in the right direction and I was able to re attach the door knob that had fallen off. Yeah!!!

Thank you so much. It is -10C or -22F here today. Went to open the door and the whole mechanism fell apart. Now i had a hole in my porch blowing in arctic cold air. Watched your video, my model was different but your detailed explanation allowed me to figure out how to fix mine. Happy Holidays from Canada 🎄
Good morning, that’s cold indeed. A hole in the door as you explained will definitely make the furnace run all day. Great job making it a DIY project, enjoy that rewarding feeling. Welcome to the DIY Raptor Club! 😁👍
You are a lifesaver! I did not realize the locking plate separated from the knob. I've been lining up the screws and locking it all together by turning it with the locking plate attached to keep it on. This method only lasts about 2-3 weeks 🤦♂️
What’s up Paul, thanks for taking the time out of your Wednesday morning to share this, it means the world to us. Great to hear it worked great, let us know if you have any questions.

This looks great, but I have a lever handle. My husband seems to think the screw doll off when the handle came off and wants to use a acres from an indoor closet handle. I'm not convinced it's the same. Door lever on outdoor "knob" came off; indoor handle has a turn lock. I noticed months before the outdoor handle came off the indoor turn lock was not properly aligned and didn't seem to be working to me. This door is from the attached garage to the inside of the house. Any hints?
Hi, Michael. I’ve been trying to find out how to fix the door knob from wiggling, it’s not the faceplate. The faceplate is firmly secure. Do you have any tips on how to fix?
Thanks for watching Bruce, that will depend on the Loctite grade/strength. Some people will just apply Teflon tape to the thread which actually works very well keeping screws firmly secured.
I sure hope this works to tighten loose knob. I'm about to try. Would this work the same for my bead bolt? Where the key goes in is loose and the interior side where you twist the lock is loose also. Got a video on tightening the dead bolt mechanism? Thank you
Thanks for watching, you will do great. You will find it to be similar however with a few different steps due to design differences. Looking forward to hearing back from you.
@@lisaok4729 We got you covered. Check out the link below. It may not be the exact same kit that you have however may hopefully help get you more familiar with the process. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0jxpytfUtfo.htmlsi=gkKO25gwMMvnZ81P 👍
Thanks for watching, we are drinking our morning coffee answering any and all questions for the DIY community. Any update? Were you able to secure knob? Do you see a securing screw anywhere around the cover plate? If so, that will be what you carefully tighten to secure knob and plate.
