You can get these style of welcome lights here: amzn.to/2XkOFwc Wireless ones that don't need drilling: amzn.to/2JdIlml Vehicle specific lights that are plug and play: amzn.to/32aMMWj
Nice video but I would have used the wire tap method instead, shoving the wires in around the bulb is a little weak. Oh, and another thing, provide links to the retailer for the item that you're highlighting, this would be very helpful! Thumbs up!!! 👍
I don't think I'd install these on my car. My brother has them, and they seem gaudy. The logo is already on the front & back of the car. All that being said, this is a great DIY/tutorial video for those that want to do it. Thumbs up.
@@mr.turcotte5892 Best bet would probably do it similar to installing footwell lighting, I think you'd have to go to the fuse box. That or run it to the dome light lol
cristian a Why are people so afraid of wiring? One of my running board lights was not working on my SUV. Lexus wanted $210 to fix A broken wire! All it took was a little soldier and a small piece of wire and the problem is fixed. Many electronics stop working because of a broken wire or “cold soldier” joints. A small investment in a soldering iron and some soldier can save you plenty of money on broken electronics. I can’t even count the number of items that would have been tossed in the trash if I didn’t know how to solder. As the saying goes; Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.
First of all u got balls to drill a whole and do a DYI project on your personal Lexus lol. But good job very helpful video along with good instructions. Well done !!!!
Hello, it turned out very well, congratulations. Since I have such an installation ahead of me, I want to ask how exactly to connect the cables by color??? Thanks
The links in the description no longer work/available… are you able to provide maybe another URL for the ones where u can put your own custom projector slide in it but still designed like this? I know it’s a few years ago, but just figured I’d ask… Thanks!
already have Toyota logo's in the 2 main front doors. i had so much problem with them as i had purchased mine from a local auto shop. in which only gave a 12 months warranty. the logo light faded & then had to get them to re fit new lights, after the third re fit i knew i had to buy them off the internet. now have my ebay logo lights fitted, sadly the front drivers door logo light flickers some times, the auto electrician said it was the light it self. will have to buy another new set. i love my logo lights. thanks hope you not have any problem with them.
+SK4869 I love the logo lights too. I bought a set for my Solara more than 2 years ago and they've been working fine ever since: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-06rmEaQchqQ.html
oh wow thanks, i had taken my car back to the auto electricians & they had firmly said that it was the actual light that was why it was flickering. i know that i will have to buy another set. thank you for giving me this link. have a great day my buddy :)
I’m trying to find the round welcome lights for my AUDI on eBay but can’t find them. The only ones I see are the rectangular units that are made to replace normal door lights and I need the one like you have that are round and I can drill into my door. I already have a set in my door but the hologram is jacked up. I either need to find a new set or the replacement glass so I can see the Audi logo. Please help.
Any idea if this is possible on a car without the light already in the car? I have a Peugeot 206 without any lights in my doors, so I'll have to wire it somewhere else. Any suggestions?
+shivam220 To the footwell or dome lights, see this video on routing it through the door grommet: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-06rmEaQchqQ.html
Hi, Speedkar 99, thanks for your awesome video, it motivated me to get my logo light with my favorite football team logo. The thing is, just 2 months after my logo've started to fade. It that already happened to you? Any advice?
Speedkar99 how do I install the WindFire ones on a 2013 Honda Accord Coupe, I was told they were plug and play into the puddle lights but theres no connectors to plug into the t10 socket. Please help as I dont want to wire them and have to start pulling my door apart.
+Fhüd Mùnchen Some people have had bit and miss luck with these eBay lights. So far mine have been going strong. You might have to replace yours, or it could be a broken solder contact internally.
UMOFO Wish, super good observation! His door panel was also detached before... I think ultimately he really spent time to sequenced (two separate segments together) the video nicely before loaded on RU-vid.
+Joy Gope Posting ended, but here it is: www.ebay.com/itm/2x-LED-Courtesy-Laser-Projector-Shadow-Logo-Lamp-Lights-Door-Step-For-Lexus-New-/371290904006?hash=item5672a995c6&vxp=mtr
I don't have a link, but as long as you connect a 12V LED into the housing it will light up. However these are high power LED's so any random LED will be way to dim and not focused enough to light up the logo visibly except in extreme dark.
+speedkar99 Yeah I tried splicing in with the transformer, doesn't light up. Then I removed the transformer and it lit up but like you said it is very faded.
Hey I have the logo lights that I just stick on the door panel u don't need to drill a hole in the door or take the panel off so do I just stick the light on the panel and connect it to my light at the bottom of my door well the wireing but Wat wire will I connect them to
+Calentha Parker Connect them to your puddle lights. If not you'll have to wire them through the door to the interior of your car (dome lights): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-06rmEaQchqQ.html
I will take my car to a Professional auto installer , the same one who put in my rear entertainment system. anytime I hear simple to do always turns out to be complicated !!
LED's die. Personally I'd have do e a t splice and used Spade connectors so I could replace em if they burnt out... Solder is a perm connection , you'd have to desolder the connection to replace.
YOU KNOW..... There’s a lightbulb for the side panel doors with the logo already embedded... All you need to do is switch out the bulb on the door.... And once you open the door, it’ll display the logo on the floor... my BMW has it lmfao. All that work for nothing
