I can tell you why especially the last month. Sometimes I can go on Uber Eats for 4 hours without an order coming in and I've been doing this for years. All the illegals are now driving for DoorDash and Uber Eats and grubhub. Because they don't have to show a social security card. And the government gives them a Driver's license in a vehicle. And I verify this because when I was at panera. There's like 5 Latin-American standing around. Waiting for orders that I asked 2 of them. If their door dash was slow and they said no english not hard to put that puzzle together😮
@@bkhustler Someone here legally are setting them up by using their info & social security number by being paid a percentage. A lot of these illegals have 4-5 phones. Bots are horrible, too. And hackers. I got an email from Uber Eats a couple of weeks ago, notifying me that someone at a different IP address tried accessing my account. The rightful American citizens doing this gig work are fu
It goes red when 1.) There are not enough dashers logged in for what orders are predicted by the algorithmn, even if there are no orders being placed, but it's predicting some will be or 2.) There's orders sitting no one will take (no tip orders), or 3.) They are just overwhelmed, and dashers can't keep up. We went to clare it was deep red, wife and I both logged in and sat for an hour no order, logged out it was gray, a few second laters it went red again, proofing my point #1. Basically point being it's a mind game by doordash, busy means NOTHING, about order volume 99% of the time.
Trust your instincts and do your market research when driving. Door Dash does not have your best interest in mind they are solely focused on orders getting completed not on if you can make a living doing this.
Too many immigrants that don’t speak English and have 4 phones with 4 different account somehow. I don’t feel bad about what’s happening in Texas anymore they’re starting to really annoy me
That's absolutely what's happening in every market. The market is highly saturated because these damn illegals...all speaking Portuguese meaning they're all Venezuelan. They all need to be depod. It's crazy they come here and are able to immediately buy a car and now soon buy a house while I've struggled my entire f'ing life...literally my entire life. Didn't have a bed until I was 18....didn't have my own clothes until I was 15..and I've known starvation as early as I can remember which is basically my birth. It's gotta change.
I'll add this and it's what I've been thinking since I started dashing....I bet you these illegals are paid to do this by the guv. They're paid to block us from getting a proper living. So we're struggling on all fronts.
Just found your channel. I’m in Toledo. An old retiree who has over 5k deliveries. 20-25 hours. TD for over 2 years. TD for the dash now! But I’m seeing is some down time because of over saturation. Support said schedule because I am over flow!! But then you fight for a schedule 🤦🏽♀️. The journey is indeed real. Including the games being played. Safe and strategic prosperous travels.
Totally agree that they're giving the orders to the 100% AP people.I don't cherrypick unless it's outrageously low for high miles. But it gets ridiculous sometimes, just end the dash and go home
Gotta be careful to not sit for too long. Being in a small rural market i can contest from my experience they wont send you orders if the system has you Idle. You crank your car and drive around the block and you usually start getting orders
You’re right about that it is Dashers to orders. But unless they’re going to incentivize, it’s time for me to go home and go to sleep. I got your back boo.
You are dead on !! Same nonsense here. Busy, ( lies ) oversaturated markets , says BUSY , DD is doing this just to lure drivers out, so they can tell customers that they have drivers. Another thing is, they don't let you see where you are going until you accept. I think that's shady😡
Supply and demand I guess. If it's busy and you're not getting offers there must be too many drivers, or maybe the app just says it's busy but it's really not busy.
The entire DoorDash system itself is glitchy where our zones are very busy, but no orders popped up. Yeah, I've been suffering through this for the past 3 months.
Most people that I watch on RU-vid that are doordashers get orders in dollar amounts that I literally never ever receive I'm 99% acceptance rate over 90% array just under a 4.8 and it couldn't be much slower than it is I just don't understand where these people making these videos are getting these kind of orders they just don't exist where I live
Sorry to hear that. I am blessed to live in driving distance of a zone that pays well. I don’t dash in my home zone because I would almost never see the same type of orders either.
A few things. Im on 100% acceptance and I've been known to not get orders for 30min sometimes in a hotzone buttttt notice when you get a order and have to deliver it outside the hotzone once you complete it and head back towards a hotzone your phone will beep with a offer in a greyed out area. 90% of my deliveries are in non hot zones. I accept all orders to keep my numbers up and I'm not just sitting there waiting, I gotta stay moving or I'll want to log out early from being bored..
I accept almost every order that come in and my area is so oversaturated that it is now almost 9:00 a.m. I've been dashing since 7:30 and have received one order offer
I'm a platinum dasher and they will send me orders far far away late nights. The zone is red and no orders? I don't understand why. If the 24hr McDonald's are slow like on April 2, go home.
Watch John Oliver's Last week tonight on comedy central. He gives a good take on food delivery apps. Door dash is not a profitable endeavor for most people, except for Door Dash. I put 30,000 miles on my vehicle in 2023 doing door dash but only part of those can be used for the mileage deduction because you can only count the miles from order acceptance to the drop off location, the miles you drive to get back to your hot spot location do not count for tax deductions even though you wouldn't be driving those miles if you weren't doing a delivery gig as a private contractor, and you don't really notice the wear and tear on your vehicle until something wears out or breaks. Just curious, has anyone experienced roosters crowing in the background when you you are talking to support? Makes one wonder how little the support people are being paid working in another country.
I don't see who on earth does the 2.00-3.00 dollar orders when you use your own car, gas, time ,people need to learn that they have to tip if they want to use this service...
