Excellent episode Derek. For the age of that metal they came out like new. Like others have said if you’re going to do a repair do it right the first time. It will last the test of time all over again. Over here in the uk we have had a month with lots of rain. Thanks to you and the camera lady. Take care and best wishes. Tim.
Great videos. You repair doors correctly. To many other channels fix rust and don't pay attention to the rust inside the doors. They never take the door apart. Almost 77 years old.
For dents and dings like that you can tack a three eights washer on edge, lever it up with pointed pry bar through hole in washer,or use hook through hole on a slide hammer.
I knew about the hook through a hole with a slide hammer. I couldn't find anything hard enough that wouldn't bend this time. The welded washer on edge and a pry bar, I didn't know that trick. I like that one. I will try it! Thank you!
I bought the panels through a Brookville dealer here. I think you can buy direct from them too. Or you can contact them for your local dealer. They used to go to the big shows in the US including Carlisle and Hershey.
