Hello Mr. Gary. My dad and I are about half way through the Dora build but did not start until we watched your entire series. Thank you so much for your efforts and expertise. I also took your advise about the Badger 105 which should arrive shortly from Scale Hobbyist. Thank you again! Kirk and Burt
I am working now on the Leopold 1/72 HBoss. and man it gets tricky in moments, the suspension, and its just about the 10% of THIS kit.... so KUDOS Gary !! I am still thinking about buying or not this monster..... Thank you for these videos.
You made a good point about the price of airbrushes. I've not used an airbrush yet, and haven't a clue about the differences between a $200 brush vs an $80 brush.
Hi Gary, the model looks great i just ordered the same airbrush over here in the Netherlands he is more expensive i paid about $ 150,- but you are so pleased with it that i took the change. Regards Piet
I recently bought a Paasche Talon set, made in the USA, with 3 needles and 3 tips, braided hose and adapter for about $87 US. This is also an excellent Airbrush. Glad to see things moving along smoothly with your new toy. Personally I think you are putting just a little too much primer and paint on per layer, but that might be just me. And I really thought you were going to try the pre-shading idea, o well, next model.
Looking good Gary!! Molly will be proud!! LOL You have amazing foresight. I know you knew that you needed the airbrush case as a back stop when you bought it. LOL. I may have to get that airbrush too.
Very well you are doing an excellent job since now. My name is Giuseppe and I'm writing from Italy; I started short time ago with ship modeling and now I'm building the Endeavour scale 1:60. I have a question about the blocks, like you now they can be single, double or tripple holed and in different sizes. Now the matter is that I have a table chart where I can find the dimension of the rope I have to use going through the pulleys, but to determine the size of the rope that I have to use for stropping them (the rope that's wrapped arround the block and usually have a hook attached on an eye), how should I do? It's a week now that I try to get an answer to this question:-)) Ciao Giuseppe
Apparently you have not watched my videos of the Bluenose I built. I think what you are asking for is in video 30. You will have to go back and find that video where I show how I put a hook on my blocks. Hope that is what you are looking for.
Hi Gary Yesterday evening I watched again the video but in meantime I got this link from a russian modeller: drive.google.com/open?id=0B1BM6Q0Chgt8aVU0Rmt1YkdGMnc and how you can see there is the table I was searching for. You can see that the rope and the strop diameter are still the same for the smaller blocks and the strop sizes increases only for the larger blocks. I hope it will be useful for you in the future. The book from where the table are from is: Historic Ship Models - Wolfram Mondfeld.
See you had a few railings to put on.....nice job.I think I'm gonna grab me one of those airbrushes. I have a cheap one,but if you say it's worth it,I'm on it.Thanks,buddy. Watch out for those Ukranians..👍
