She so awesome I wish I could go to NOLA to meet this gem! People don't know how bless they are to have her right there. She could be untouchable if she wanted to and that says a lot!
Miss Doreen thank you so much for singing me a song the other day when y'all were already packing up , you are so kind and beautiful and talented , you brought me to tears , I can't believe my ears and eyes be blessed you and yours.
As with all your tunes...this is GREAT. We saw you in New Orleans back before Katrina...you was play with the hobo band...or something like that. You was great then...still are. God Bless You.
Thank you for sharing. I had the honor to hear and meet her before she left for the Chicago Jazz Festival, and she still incorporates Amazing Grace into the newer material. An in-tune, open triple high C held for over seemingly 10 seconds is a glorious accomplishment and an inspiration to any keen musician (young and old). Great trombonist!
hi Ms. Doreen, I'd like to somehow get in touch so you can hear my version of Amazing Grace as Well, i am impressed by your humble attitude and congratulations on your Music Degree, i personally want to go to school for the music program and get my degree as well, along with my science degree someday!, I'd love to start playing for funerals and other events!, it would be really neat to meet you as well!
