I'll never forget walking through the Quarter and hearing pure high notes on the clarinet...pure, high and totally in tune...effortlessly produced. I just had to find out who was playing the best dixieland style clarinet that I had ever heard in my life. It just kept getting better as I got closer when I finally encountered this incredible artist. So humble, so approachable, so lovely. Doreen Ketchens, you are the very best...better than Pete and all the rest. Brava! May you live forever!

Wonderfull. Goosebumps. ...not sure how to interpret the contribution of the orchestra....huge difference. Bit stiff, if i would be the director i would transform them at the spot into a Count Basie or Woody Herman-like (thundering herd) big band.
