I love her silly concept. She's great in hyperbloom with Furina. She just needs a grouper or shielder/anti-interrupt teammate so that her damage will be consistent. I often use Dehya or Kazuha for this flex slot. Portable power saw is perfect for her especially at R5. She can even run without ER substats. EDIT: This potential, like with most 4-star characters, can only be unleashed at C6.
I built Dory (I actually built every character to lv 80+ and talents 8+ only missing klee, and sigewine) I like to use Dory often I would add Dory can also be a battery not just a healer. In my opinion her best in slot weapon is Sacrificial sword, if you invest enough in ER substats she can battery her ult by herself alone, Id say her best in slot set is actually Thundering Fury for the cooldown on the elemental skill which allows her to spam it even further and up her elemental reaction up time so you can actually make the most out of her. Built some EM at least 200 or 250 with EM sands substats HP% energy, mainly the other stuff to your liking.
Great video guide! Just one thing that I think most people overlook, the exile set even though it is a 4 star set, is amazing on someone like dory, cuz it helps her fulfill her function in the team at the perfection... So I'm surprised you didn't mention it haha. Other than that, keep up the good work!
Obligatory comment from the Dori main~ To be fair, Portable Power Saw is good if you hit the needed ~200% ER. I don't understand why they decided to cap her passive at 300%. It's almost impossible to get. Especially if you want to build her well...... The Bell is scam. Also, keep in mind Dori's lamp hits 30 times. And each hit can be critical. :D Now the sets... All depends on how you want to build her. Dori's build will change depending on her role. She's kind of a character that you can slap on whatever you need and she's still usable. Noblesse is reasonable, but I am not sure if I would call it the best. You can give her Deepwood in dendro teams, Maiden Beloved when building full healer Dori, Tenacity 4pc (it's not ideal, but HP 2pc is welcomed and the buff is nice. Even if the first E doesn't hit an enemy, the smaller hits count as well, so you are almost guaranteed to have a hit from the skill. Funfact, this skill mechanic makes her fully functional as a phys dps with Pale Flame), Gilded Dreams and Flower of Paradise Lost are valuable too. Song of Days Past can be used, but not sure why would anyone use this set- Don't forget about the 4* artifacts!!! The Exile or Instructor are great on her. Very easy to get, especially early game, slap 5* ER sands and you have finished build. Pre C6 Dori is a healer or EM... Haver... On a C6 she becomes an electro on field dps. She has an electro infusion that works great with Furina and Nahida. You can easily have a hyperbloom/aggravate team that's not bad. Her C6 changes her. Now you build her as a dps; EM/electro dmg/crits. With Thundering Fury 4pc and cancel animation you basically do skill > 2NA > sprint > 2 or 3 NA. Weapon with crits, my personal fav is Beacon of the Reed Sea. Especially because its HP passive, which only helps Dori's healing. Even as a DPS she's doing well in keeping her teammates alive. Because you are doing way more skills and she's on field, her ER needs are way lower too. I think mine has around 110% ER and it's close to being enough. When it comes to Dori you can't forget about the coop aspects! Heals everyone who's connected to the lamp (you can easily make her heal 10k on tick), gives ER AND every line from the lamp counts as it's own thing. Meaning, in one burst you get 30 ticks from connector damage. Now do 30 hits x 4 people. Even if she's not hitting a lot, it's still passive electro numbers. A bit like a DoT lol. My dps Dori, with Nahida in team, hits 1k on one tick. And in coop you get 120 hits.
Anyone lucky/unlucky enough to get C6 Dori should try her with Thundering Fury, a DPS claymore, Furina, Nahida, and a shielder. Skill gives her infusion, infused normals give full team healing enabling Furina buff, Thundering procs often enough to get multiple skills and normals in rotation, and her numbers are not too bad when crowned.
