Awesome video 🤙 love the idea of gore belching + rouse the ancients and would never think of that combo on my own. Also a great example of how creative deckbuilding in flesh&blood has become.
I actually bought the classic battles set for my buddy, and I. He was always into mtg, gonna see if I can broaden his horizons a bit. But great vid bro keep it up.
I just started playing a month ago, finally ordered most of the cards in this deck (damn, Dynamo is fucking expensive tho) and I've been grinding a shitload of Talishar. The only comments I have are these: 1) Do not play Driving Blade...it's not even worth it. I prefer Blue Slice & Dice or Ironsong Response because they can actually be useful. In this meta, unless you open with a huge Glistening Steelbade + Reaction on Turn 0-2, you will likely have to block with at least 1 card per turn to not just die. You can't afford to have a blue pitch and another pitch to play Driving Blade. 2) I like one ofs of Puncture and Stroke of Foresight (or Out for Blood) over Second Swing since, although they pump for 1 less sometimes, you can use them on the first swing to push through a Glistening Steelblade or Supremacy trigger, and they're searchable off Singing Steelblade. 3) Defense reactions are not your friend in this deck, so I've been trying out Emboldened Blade and Burdens of the Past. Right now, I'm on a 1 of Burdens that pitches great early and has allowed me to swing for lethal in many a guardian matchup.
I second Burdens of the Past. It's a 3-pitch, 3-block card so it's never dead, and in hardcore fatigue matchups it's a godsend. That and Last Ditch Effort. I do run driving blade blue, but that's because I run way more blue than sloop does.
@@flamingfurball3316 Hi, I was reading your post and wondering which cards you removed/would remove to include Burdens of the Past. In your opinion, would you recommend this deck (preconstructed Dorinthea) to anyone who is starting to play flesh and blood?
@@marcocolombo4495, I almost exclusively play online using Talishar so I've never actually built QSP Irl, so take my advice with a grain of salt. That being said I have looked at how hard it would be to build a functional deck from the classic battles starter set and what I determined was that although the starter deck for dori is pretty terrible as is, it's a great starting point and well worth the money. About half of the deck is good cards that you can absolutely should continue to run even after you upgrade. If you can pick the set up for around 30$ you'll even make your money back because Glistening Steelblade alone is worth 30$, not to mention you save on shipping costs by buying half of your deck from a single source. As far as the hero as a starting hero goes, I think they're very good for learning the game because the "math" for quicksilver dori is VERY easy to understand. Most of the time you don't have to weigh the value of complicated effects because your cards to straight damage or straight block. The way that they can be harder to play is that they don't have a particular leaning towards or so you will have to weigh the value of attacking and defending, you don't get to play fai and never defend. As far as what to swap out from Sloopdoop's deck, I'd drop a couple reds, take your pick for which to drop. I don't think this deck has nearly enough blue. Prodigy isn't Kassai, she needs to be able to afford her second attack and she needs to be able to afford 1-cost go again or 1-cost pump cards, so she needs to run a pretty blue-heavy deck.
Can't argue with the frog. Where'd my money go. I love this list and idea. One question which is absolutely not youtube engagement bait for a comment on a video - You said the spoils and the copper arent as useful in this deck (which is true) and I think would make people less likely to full block a spoils turn. Do you think a 1 of copy of cash in would be spicy to punish that? Or how about royal quicksilver for that gold token - (obviously you lost the crown of P so... might not be as good)
A Cash in and Crown of Dominion would definitely be spicy options, especially if you want to go more aggressive. I based this off of my Kassai build which was able to switch from offense to defense on the fly, but with Glistening Steelblade being strong even in the first couple turns, Dori might be better leaning into the aggro plan 👍
As a QSP main, it's probably not worth it to run cash in. Regular hands are key to QSP, so you want to avoid potential dead cards like cash in like the plague. Also, depending on the build, a couple copper is atually pretty useful to have. My QSP deck runs 18 blue, so sometimes I'll draw a hand with a lot of blue that I don't need and I'll cycle a bit with copper.
