The room at 4:26 is such a big double!... or is it a triple? which of the Quad houses is that room in? And thanks so much for making this video! Aside from giving insight on Penn housing, I got a lot of dorm room decor ideas :)
RyuHyunHee it’s a double in the Class of 1928 House! Not all rooms are that large though unfortunately! And aww of course I’m glad you liked it! I was hoping people would gain design ideas as well because these are some of the most aesthetic dorms on campus I’ve seen😌
RyuHyunHee hey! that’s my room and my roommate and i definitely lucked out!! dom didn’t mention in the video so i have to clarify: our double is in NO WAY representative of most of the doubles in the quad, which are typically about half the size :/ it’s in class of 28 on the top (5th floor) which is just known for having large doubles!
Honestly I love all the dorms that have been shown. I love the layout of the different rooms and that each dorm is not only aesthetically pleasing but are unique in their own way. I sent off my application to UPenn a few weeks ago and I hope I will be able to attend such a great university such as UPenn. I just have one question though. How are applicant's selected for each of the dorms? Is it completely random or do you have to fill out a form (like for some universities such as Princeton) and you are placed in the dorm that best matches your answers?
can you please make a video explaining college for foreign dummies like me? I just don’t understand the system, the difference between mayors and minor and now you chose dorms??? please just please I would love to know
LeBunneh Hunneh Hi! It is competitive because a lot of classes are on a curve, so you want to preform better then everyone else but it’s not competitive in the sense where students will 100% help you out, like we all want to see each other succeed!!:)
Thank you sooo much for the video, so informative and well done! I'm going to be a freshman in the fall, housing preferences can be filled out starting tomorrow and this definitely helped a lot :)
The dorms you showed in the QUAD look way bigger and newer than ones that I’ve seen in other videos, are there some newer/older parts and you just have to get lucky? Or are they all pretty much the same?
Hello Domonique (if I may), I got a question that might be silly! How thick are walls between rooms? Do they isolate noise? are they brick walls or compressed plastic?
Hi legend, i am perspective International student and struggling to find some info online about housing due to all the changes coz of covid. In a normal year how many years of guaranteed on-campus housing how can an international student get? and then after that, how difficult is it to get all four years on campus as an international?
Your video was actually informative and I liked that you put student quotes so we can actually hear the opinions of students living there. I personally like Hill the best, I'm class of 23
Hi Domonique! I recently got in the class of 2023 and I can't wait to possibly meet you! You've been an inspiration for so long! Right now I'm going through picking housing and I was wondering if you got to have your private bathroom by chance or was there a way to apply to attain it? Thank you so much, keep going!
Hiiii!!! Awww, I can’t wait to meet you as well!! We could grab lunch!! 😛 but the only dorms where you’d have a private bathroom is New College house, Gregory, and Du Bois!:) I hope that helped !!
Hey guys. I don't want to be this person, but do you have any tips on how to get in? What was your SAT, ACT, and GPA out of 100? Thanks so much. uPenn really is my dream school😍😩
Do you live in the same house all four years you’re there? Also, would you recommend doing there undergraduate or graduate course for interested high school seniors?
Sugar Glider hi! you don’t live in the same house all 4 years. You could even go off campus sophomore year if you’d like! And I haven’t taken a graduate course so unfortunately I can’t speak on that.
Hi just got accepted into Penn 2024! I was wondering which house would be best for someone who wants to live with other roommates also. I am leaning towards Hill or the Quad. Any suggestions?
i lived in ware in the quad this year until we got kicked out cause of corona :( i 100% recommend ware college house, i wouldnt have wanted to live anywhere else! all of the quad houses are pretty similar, but i love ware cause its the most social and something is always going on. fisher is more quiet and riepe is in between the two. hill is great and everyone ik who lived there loved it and it has a great dining hall (quad dining hall is garbage), but it's a bit of a walk. also i wouldnt trade my quad experience for hill
In Hill, what are the closets like? Does each person get their own closet (in a double)? I'm moving in this fall and I feel like I need to know how much space I have to pack accordingly lol
Great video! About how many people share a bathroom in Hill College House? Do you ever find it’s hard to get a shower in the morning before class because it’s too busy?
Sam Wiltjer hi!! I have NEVER found it hard to shower!! There are about 8-10 people to a bathroom! And there are around 2-5 toilets and 2 showers per bathroom!
moonlightlovex hi! No they aren’t! Athletes have to live in certain dorms sometimes and huntsman kids, but no other student groups that I’m aware of! Hope this helps :)
Your videos are so well done. Is there any one dorm where recruited freshman athlete are assigned? If so, would some information as my daughter is being recruited.
I want to know more about upenn houses and especially i want to know the dorm that is near the school and not far from the town because i like those two places more
HI!!! OMG HELPPP!! I don't know which house to pick. i am so confused. I've heard good and bad things about all houses. Which one would you recommend for a business mayor, who is social and wants a private bathroom?
Hiiii!! I’d recommend Hill to anyoneee! It was my favorite by far! If you want a private bathroom than I’d recommend Lauder/New College house!! ☺️ hope that helps!!
@@Domonique_Cynthia Thank you so much!! I think a will choose Hill. Just one more question, do you feel like people from the quad would rather have chosen Hill, or is the quad okay too?
lauder college house. all the suites have 1-2 private bathrooms (in the video she calls it new college house, but it was renamed to lauder college house this year!)
@@jaydenemery2976 you're welcome and if u have more questions pls ask :) i lived in the quad this year and while public bathrooms don't bother me, i wouldn't trade the quad experience for anything !!
