Dormant Overseed Before Snowstorm in Late Winter 

Living in North Wisconsin creates challenges when it comes to fall overseeding. Fall does remain the best time of year for northern lawns and seeding. Dormant seeding in winter might be the second best option and is the best option for avoiding the need to water.
Two other cons I forgot to mention in video are:
First, I can’t use a pre emergent weed killer in spring, so need to just pull weeds or use mesotrione.
Second, I can’t dethatch grass that may have been compressed over winter and died off. Luckily this year was mild and practically no snow, so the majority of lawn is still upright and didn’t get compressed under heavy snow.
