Thousands versions of this classic song. However, since I first heard it sung by Doro I have always remembered her version. After so many years this is still one of the best versions sung by such a powerful woman. 🤘🏻
I wouldn't say she overshadows everyone she performs she simply has her own style of singing like tarja and Floor Jansen and of course ronnie james dio all of whom are amazing vocalists in their own respective rights
After you've heard this melody, it will haunt you for the rest of your life. I first heard it in the 80s playing "Leisure suit Larry". And that was on a PC speaker!! Still the melody remained in my heart!
I remember when my guitar teacher first showed me the Procol Harum (original) version of thsi song, I thought it would be awesome in this classic Metal sound. Glad this exists.
In this Sunday, the greatest Brazilian live book writer, named Lygia Fagundes Telles, had passed away, with 98 years old. She had written a beautiful short story about two teenage girls who had a case. And one of them had commited suicide, fighting against a depression. And the song that they always listened while was together was A Whiter Shade of Pale. The same name of the short story. Now I know that Gary Brooker and her are together in Heaven. And always when I listen this version... I'm going to remember of my favorite writer ever! Rest in Peace, Lygia!
I was born at 1970. I was grow up with these songs and otherwise in this aerea. In the 80,s i wil become an ebm friend and so i came to the Gothic. But right now I,am an old man and my confession is; Doro Pesch was big love in the past and so is she on. She looks everytime beauiful and her songs with her Bands are ever great. Go on , Little Girl.
und danke an Johann Sebastian Bach. Dank ihm (Procol Harum ließen sich dabei von seinem Stück „Air on a G String“ inspirieren) ist dieses schöne Stück Musikgeschichte entstanden.
