Love your advice for the most part, but I actually like the overtly “girly” look with a cute dress and ballet flats. Plus I live in flats, as my feet can’t handle heels anymore.
I actually really love the ballet flats with that 'fussy' midi skirt at the end, I would definitely wear it that way! But otherwise I completely agree!
Funny how subjective fashion can be. I like almost all the don'ts more than the dos. Doing these kinds of videos can be tricky. I like your style and have incorporated good advice from your videos in the past. Also, got some great fashion advice from the don'ts this time. I like being a girly girl.
There’s something appealing and nostalgic about the girliness with the ballet flats. I think trying to modernize them is fine but using them as “intended” still looks great and holds up!
I love ballet flats with dresses-not how you shown them of course-but ballet flats are difficult to pull off as shoes. Needs long legs and calves and narrow fit
Audrey Hepburn definitely rocked ballet flats, one of her favorite shoes, with both an androgenous look and a dress! These looks are really pretty tho 🔥
I guess the "do's" create yuxtaposition / contrast and the "dont's" creat harmony and cohesion. It all depends on the look you are looking for. Btw I also like the dont's better 🤭
I love and will continue to pair my Chanel ballet flats with everything. Yes including my short girly dresses. So cute and girly. Jeans and slacks too!!!! ❤🥰
That guy knows better about our current situation and understands civics and politics better than so many well educated people I know. And even the lady in blue saree
These are perfect for work I can whizz about the office all day and be on my feet feel so much better than wearing uncomfortable heels which I did for years and have the bunion to prove it 😅
For you is "too girly" because your body typology is not feminine and you feel weird with that look. For me, as a hourglass and pure romantic type it's absolutely fine and adequate and looks amazing on me.
I'm tall. I literally don't own any heels. I've worn flats my entire life and I like how its become trendy because now people are posting fashion vids on how to pair flats to look like a grownup. I mean I'm still going to wear flats with dresses and skirts regardless but its still nice to see fashion videos with flats
@@lilbleep566 Insecurity: my whole life I've been surrounded with short girls. I'm half asian so when I'm with asians I'm a giraffe. When I'm on campus I feel like a giraffe. Never been athletic or pretty enough to be a model and those two situations are usually where I'd run into taller girls. I dont like being taller than the guys I date either so I stick with wearing flatter shoes. I know 5'7" isn't super super tall because there are much taller girls out there, but my height is still taller than average. Between mean comments making fun of me through the years and my general insecurity I've grown a fear and lowkey hatred to wearing heels.
Would love for you yiu to provide callouts for the Lux items you are wearing and providing the mid and low end options of quality pieces. For example, I am into the look of the Chanel flats you are wearing but I’d love to see your recs for mid range quality options rather than looking randomly on my own. I often wish you’d show a mid range option every time you style and outfit to include a Lux piece. I am a visual person so seeing the mid range ‘fit would be just as helpful as the lux version (but I know you don’t style Lux-only ensembles, which is one of the reasons I love your vids). Just a random thought as I set off to find Chanel ballet flat options…
The ballet flats looked good with the skirt and dress. I love a ballet flat with a linen black shift dress. Agree that Ballet flats don't look as good with a patterned skirt unless they're all one colour
So we do not wear skirts with ballet flats? Your suggested outfits are beautiful and Tipps useful, but would have loved to see an outfit with a dress and skirt with ballet flats that actually would work
If you press the three dots on the right hand of the screen and then press ‘description’ everything will come up - there also should be a pop up saying ‘shop here’ on the top right of the screen as you watch the video (if this doesn’t work on your phone then it will on a laptop) ❤️
My only comment so where is the fun? Fashion should be fun! And where is the colour! You look tres chic but a bit more soul and a bit less black would do you good. 🙊
Tldr: ballet flats goes will with pants and not with a any piece of clothing that has a skirt or skirt like lower... See. Was easy to condense that information
I don’t quite agree. I don’t like wearing sneakers because I am just not fond of the look it creates. Ballet flats are my go to because they are comfortable and low key. The thinner the sole, the better. And the more toe cleavage the better. ❤
Just don't wear them. They were a trend that ruined all of our feet in the 2000s. Just don't do it lol. My feet are crying at this trend. Fallen arches all over the world are crying.
This woman doesn't know what she is talking about...nothing wrong with wearing ballet flats with dresses and the patterned midi skirt with the geometric print looks great with the ballet flats...sometimes you want a really pretty look ...nothing wrong with that ...geez!
The only outfit that looked good with those flats was the mom jeans with the buttoned up, IMHO. The don't with the midi skirt looked much much better than with those black trousers. Their length killed the shoe in every look.
