Love the color scheme. I’m always at a loss on how to combine the colors from palettes. Great tip on avoiding the crease with shimmers. In addition to hooded eyes, my eyebrows are very low. So low that my lashes touch my brow hairs. I always struggle in creating a dramatic eye look on such a small space. These tutorials are perfect.

You do that SO beautifully! I always end up looking like I have too much dark around my eyes and can't seem to get the nice balance you do! I have the same kind of eye as you where I have NO lid showing and if I use eyeliner it takes up the little bit at the lashline! HATE IT! I have watched your videos on hooded eyes and tutorials but I just have to practice to finally get it to look as good as yours does! That is part of the reason I LOVE your tutorials, it gives me more tips and more things to practice till perfect! LOVED those lashes!!

Very true! I have hooded eyes and I just go for it, lol...we hooded girls can have options, just in a different way! I tell and show my makeup clients, that it is all about placement when adding color. Glad to see that you many videos about hooded eyes in helping others out there. That palette is beautiful! Love your tutorials always and love this look! So beautiful! Not sure if you reviewed the 4 pan from their collab last year but those shades/that formula did not work for me at all... which is why I was turned off from getting this.. any thoughts on that? Thanks for this! :)

I’m with you Anna! I really disliked that quad! I never use it. This one is so much better for two reasons....1. The mattes are very creamy and blend-able and having them there makes it a much more travel friendly palette(I personally disliking jumping from different palettes) and 2. You don’t need to remember which ones need to be applied wet and which ones dry. The glitter/sparkle is also a lot less chunky on this one.

Very beautiful tutorial! Would I need to use a glitter glue to keep the glitter from transferring up onto my hooded lids? Just wondering, although I didn’t see you use any, but my eyes are a little more hooded than yours. Thank you. I would love 💕 to get this palette but I’m worried about all that pretty shimmer ending up on my hoods instead of my lids.

Thank you! If your eyes are a bit more hooded than mine you may want to try a tiny amount of glitter glue first. I like the one from NYX or Too Faced. Just remember to use a small brush to apply the glittery shades near the crease!

Risa Does Makeup Thank you so much! I have the Nyx glitter glue which I haven’t opened yet. When I find an appropriate brush to use it with I’ll try it with some of my shimmery shadows. Love this look! I wish there was a way to wear these looks without false eyelashes. I have long eyelashes but they just can’t compete with the intense eye colors. Any suggestions?

Hi Amanda! I’mnot sure I understand your question. If you have long eyelashes already you probably don’t even need false eyelashes! Lucky girl! I just wear them because even with mascara my lashes are short and sparse.

Risa Does Makeup It just seems like bold eye colors/designs need those super long and thick false eyelashes in order for the eye look to be complete. It seems every eye look on RU-vid ends with false lashes or lash extensions to make the dramatic eyeshadow look balanced and complete.

I think it just depends on the person’s lashes. If I had long and dark lashes I would totally wear this without falsies. RU-vid has conditioned us to believe that we “need” certain things but the reality is we don’t. I bet if you tried this look and used just a black, volumizing mascara it would look great! 😃
