What I think is, why can't Doss put out a new version of Soundbox XL with true stereo pairing feature. I've been waiting for that for almost 2 years since I had my XL. It will be the ultimate best buy bluetooth speakers.
They did, I have both the Soundbox XL and the Soundbox pro in TWS versions. Both are great speaker systems and True Wireless Stereo is a game changer! What I would like to know is how you can compare the Soundbox XL to the Sounodbox Pro? They're not even on the same level! Of course the Soundbox XL is basically going to blow the Soundbox pro out the door, one is 39 bucks and the other is close to 100 bucks. It's a better speaker.
okay, i just wanna say something, if you are looking at this video to buy or thinking about buying the soundbox pro, i think of my self as someone who appreciates sound quality but not to the point of being an audiophile, the soundbox pro sounds really good to me, and im very very satisfied with my purchase, i think it is the best bt-speaker at its price which is 49.99euros in my country ( france).
From DOSS the only really good sounding Speaker ist the Soundbox XL. All the other models are in lower middle class soundwise or they just do not sound good . The XL is not the best Speaker for sure, but for it's price you get a decent indoor BT-Speaker with good sound on average Volume and knee-deep bass till ~38 Hz, what you won't find on any other BT-Speaker below 150-200 $/€. Based on the Hardware from SONYs SRS-X77 the XL comes with much better Soundsetting. This good work i miss on all the other DOSS Speakers. Also the Soundbox Pro sounds muffled and boxy and has weak lower bass. I think the hardware is not so bad, it could do sound a lot better better with another DSP-Setup and better insulated speaker enclosure. In my opinion the big players missed in 2018, so smaller and new companies get their chance to roll over the market. With the DOSS XL they made a good name, but the do not use their chances to build on it. TRIBIT makes it much better, the XSound Boom kicks Flip 4 and UE Boom 2 (and all others in this range) away with really good 360° sound. For amazing 70 $. Now i'm just waiting for a bigger brother which is comparable with Xtreme and so on. If i have to bet, i would say they are already working on it... ;)
Now, The Maxsound Plus is coming from Tribit and can beat All of them, maybe not for Soundbox XL, but the the build quality of Soundbox XL are many complain from users and it is not waterproof like the Maxsound Plus.
Just the comparison I was looking for. I was really hoping that the Doss Soundbox Pro would deliver but sadly another let down from Doss. I contacted Doss several times to asked them why they didn't put the stereo pairing feature on the Doss XL, which would be the ultimate clincher to the excellent sounding Doss XL. There reply is , they tried the feature but the sound deteriorated on the Doss XL. Maybe that's why the sound pro doesn't sound nice either.
Does anybody has issues with the SD card playing the same music over and over. I used a 32g's card with about a thousand songs on it and plays about 10 songs over and over then put in a 16 g's card with over 100 songs on it and it plays 4 songs over and over????
