Is very encouraging for beginners to see you using adapted tools like a pencil and a nail. No one wants to buy fancy tools when you're just beginning. I did went and bought a set but for the longest time I didn't. Beautiful work. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Thank you so much Komori! You are so right, I didn't want to buy the tools either until I was sure I would love it and want to do it more! And I really want to have my tutorials available for anyone wanting to try it without buying them 😁 and to be honest? I really love my handmade tools! I still use them as much as any tool I have purchased! 😁
Love the pattern and colors. The only thing is it's monotonous. The other ones I've watched do the one or two of that pattern, then move to the next one. I'm just letting you know hope I'm helpful, not hurtful😊 thanks for your talents❤
I am having a really hard time finding the paints. The colors I want are all out of stock online and I can't find them in the stores. I looked at Michael's, Jo Ann and Walmart. I got 2 kits, but I don't have any dark blues, purples and no pink or magenta. Any suggestion where to find single colors?
Hi Renata, I too have had a challenge finding paints with the pandemic many facilities were closed for a long time and every where I looked people were out of stock. I was able to find a few colors online at Michaels a couple months ago, I just looked and it looks like they have some colors in stock online. It's been tough for sure. I have had to create new colors with the ones I have for different shades (ie pink, purples, darker/lighter colors) Fingers crossed that paints will be restock soon!
Hi! My suggestion would be to start with smaller dots evenly spaced beside each other going all the way around, making sure that when you finish you have an even number of dots (as you near the end of your circle judge by eye how many more you need to fit in and slightly (very slightly, barely noticeable) adjust the spacing you need to finish with even numbers. This will be your foundation for design without have to draw a template. Now you can do the next layer with putting a slightly larger dot on the second round in every second space (the valley between the top of two dots in the first round you did) and carry on with creating your design in this way but making slightly larger dots as you go or keep the same size and do every valley space and then change it up! Hope this helps! I'm hoping to do a mirror would soon once I find a mirror 😊
Hi! Thank you! Some of the new colors are (all FolkArt) cobalt blue, cerulean blue, sapphire, juneberry, lavender, cayman blue. And then DecoArt - flamingo, vivid Violet, and purple sunset. The base color is FolkArt Surfside 😊
