Man I really like dota but I'm too old to get into it. I started taking a liking about 5 years ago and since I don't want to go through all the learning I'm just following the esport scene. Dota esport is the best, very exciting to watch. In fact I'm considering to travel to Singapore to attend TI this year. The game has really deep mechanics, amazing.
I miss the time when I actually enjoyed this game like you, also I love your playthrough it's always feels refreshing to watch new players play dota2 :)
The way you were hitting Axe while avoiding the tower range was really good. You look like you have a sense for the game. You also switched your power Threads to agility, you are doing really well.
hotkey/control comfortability can take you a long way; try using camera grab instead of mouse panning 100% of time; loads of people use both or just mouse panning to play. i myself 85-90% of the time use cam grab, just do what feels fluid to you . There is a WASD CAM method too but it's a bit advanced for my taste. Watching people play heroes u like can help with learning too. Arcade mode/(mods) games are also fun to play!
there's hotkeys for a bunch of things that are quite useful for example there's a hotkey that makes ur courier pick up and bring you items so you don't have to select it every time there's also a hotkey for opening the shop you can also put items into ur quickbuy by shift clicking on items in the shop this basically queues them up and you can then buy them with a hotkey there's also a sticky buy which is for items you will buy multiple of every game the best one is usually TP and the sticky buy you can also buy with a hotkey it's also a good idea to try to use a different method for moving the camera, edge pan is kinda the worst one either drag pan or wasd are good drag is what most people use other than that this game is incredibly complex generally it takes like 1000 hours to get a grip of the basics but it's also super fun to learn
Good vid man, first time around your channel as well, I've been playing dota for quite a while and tbh all the farming in rankeds became kinda boring to me, after 5 years of dota I only enjoy fighting so I only play turbo mode, do what you enjoy, dota is a game with lots of possibilities
Glad you like the game, the community needs more players. Although I would suggest queueing for a bot match instead of using this new player mode because this looks like a turbo match, which is 2 times exp and money gain of a normal match and by play in a normal setting, you'll be able to check all the current heroes available. Another great tip, after picking your hero, there is a tab in which you can scroll of player created builds for the selected hero. Have good games and more importantly have fun!
@@HateLesSGaming your second ability is really good for farming creeps , but the most important thing about it is the "break" debuff , break basically stops your enemy passive spells , for example phantom assassin third spell is passive which gives her a lot of chance to dodge your attacks , but if you use your second spell on her and "break" her , that won't work anymore
It's super lovely to see new players in Dota 2. It's pretty rare, but it is needed for the game. In past years the player base went downhill... But often old players are so toxic, that the new players stop playing. The game doesn't receive enough new content and patches. It is sad to see that... But good job playing and enjoying the game!
How does this game not receive enough content and patches? I've played other valve games too and I would argue dota receives much more attention than the other games.
@@emptycode1782 Doesn't get ENOUGH, in comparison to LoL it doesn't. The biggest is battle pass in summer and after that 1 or 2 hero updates that is quite all. Dota receives more attention than other Valve games but again, not enough. You can see how the playerbase is dropping. Check video from Blitzspanks "Why the Dota 2 Playerbase Never Grows". I don't mind that the game slow, I can play turbo, but in my opinion the updates should be more often.
@@Stepan_Galle you are comparing it to lol , that doesn't mean its not getting enough patch. I have seen blitz video before , I only agree with toxic community , nothing about the game itself and patches. Also the main reason i have no problem with the updates and patches , is because i dont limit myself with with hero pools and item builds , play different roles , you can never get tired of the game itself , unless there is a troll in the game which is a different story. I have been playing since dota 1 , i was never tired of the game itself or patch. Btw there are a lot of good arcade games in dota 2.
Hey man , first time watching your video and I loved it. I played this game for many hours , got quite high in mmr and used to coach profesionally for a bit , if you ever need help for the game hit me up i'd love to help (for free ofc) , but i do have 1 quick suggestion , NEVER EVER EVER EVER and i mean ever play ranked unless your goal is to becaome a profesional
@@HateLesSGaming lol I do that too from time to time its just dota requires alot of hours to invest to and in ranked it translates to very high advanced (not childish) toxicity that makes people ruin games which is even more devestating after you have to grind so hard to get that 30 mmr
@@HateLesSGaming Oh yeah, was only commenting when you said "it's easy" having been though this game with my son who was on a semi-pro team and the 16 hour 7 days a week(2 years) practice, pubs, scrims and film review was far to intense and I didn't see any fun at all. Finally he did too.
