How to: Set up your LAN MUMBLE server !!! 

12 years ago and this still slaps!!!

If you can't see the LAN column in the connect window when the server is running, then, when connecting to server from server computer, click "Add New..." and enter Label:nameofyourserver , Address:localhost , Port:64738 (or other if you changed it) , Username:anyname. When connecting from other computer within LAN - enter the same except instead of "localhost" enter the local IP address of the PC the server is running on (to find execute "ipconfig" in cmd and look for IPv4 Address).

@RandomIrishlad1 In the server's .ini file, you can specify the maximum allowed bitrate for users as well as the maximum number of clients to allow.

This is most likely because you have not forwarded the ports on your router. We will be making an uploading a video tutorial on how to do this soon as it is a common problem many people are experiencing. Check back soon.

@Sysinput More than port forwarding has to occur. Describe your network set up and I'll direct you to the appropriate guide or make one myself.

Firewall can be blocking it....Make sure Firewall allows....

Great video, but would have been better with some audio especially for an audio based app.

there is no ini file in marmur folder now.

@GG4S3xTo i got it working Murmur needs TCP and UDP 64738 open. and its good to set up a static ip if you dont have one threw someone like "NO-IP DCU"

What doesn't show the local server? My guess is you edited the .ini file wrong. You should reinstall and start again. Double checking your edits.

Then you didn't port forward your router so that Mumble can talk outside of your LAN most likely.

Then you didn't port forward right most likely.

Can't you just post your murmur(dot)ini? Cause only editing 2 lines in it DOESN'T work...

@nzrock1 Funny it works for everyone else in the world. Why don't you approach this from a different angle and describe your system and 'how' it is not working for you and we'll see if we can figure out the issue :)

u need more information here man ur just showing us stuff but i can hardly even read the texts.edit murmum ini..What information of mine am i meant to be saving?In what lines am i meant to write what >your net telling me what i need to know .I have no idea what you are doing.some better annotations or better yet a voice would be much more helpful
