The inflections do feel a bit too deliberate tho, like she wasn't in character and was just semi-randomly raising her voice. If she didn't hold on to the high parts quite so long and her inflections had more purpose behind them I think it would sound awesome. I'm sure they'll refine it by the time the hero comes out. It just irked me a bit listening to the trailer.
She is more likely a hero with same lore as razor and visage. Given her "revenant " name much like razor's lighting revenant, she probably has the same job description of razor and visage where they manage the spirit/souls that died and wonder in the narrow maze, given she also states "spirit world" and "follow the trails of the dammed" which could mean follow the trails of the souls in the narrow maze. Also, see the same color pattern with visage. Also the book here 0:02 could be the bool of the dead which razor use to write the names that died (monkey king erase his name from that book, it's from the original chinese lore)
in addition visage calls himself a "guardian of the veil" and muerta obviously own the revenants brooch which describe as the possesion of a fallen "guardian". Unless muerta is talking nonsense about "spirit world" or "spirit veil", it's too obvious that she is one with razor and visage

@@Subby_Fee what I mean is not necessarily a boss, but somehow a feature showcasing her abilities early on. since muerto (the reference for muerta) actually means dead. and diretide is a halloween event.

Since Revenant Brooch is heavily implied to be owned by her I expect she can attack from being in Ghost state and also can attack Ghost target. Edit: Infact, pause at the first scene with the altar. The portrait lady is wearing Revenant Brooch.

Shes probably a hero who can switch between 2 phase, Living (Strenght) and Ethereal (Agility or Int). Each phase having its brand new rarespective skills. Edit: Like Troll switching between range and melee. But for muerta shes mainly range only skills change.
She seems very interesting lore-wise! Can't wait to hear her responses to many heroes and their relationships! Also intrigued what her skill set will be. Judging by the gun: a ranged hero. The way she makes the flames turn nether green and the gun is constantly shining that color, maybe she has the ability to deal physical damage to ethereal heroes (Pugna and Dark Willow's skills for example, or any hero using Ghost Scepter or Ethereal Blade.)
I sincerely hope she will be a pos1 hero. I coped about Hoodwink and PB when they came out, and it's been since MK that we haven't had any. One could even argue TB was the last actual pos1 that came out. Volvo, please. I just wanna see new carries shape the meta too.
@@Quyzbuk86 That changes from meta to meta, but the important thing is that TB was _designed_ as a pos1. Which isn't the case for literally all the heroes that came after him, except maybe MK. I noticed Valve tends to design new heroes to be able to fulfill more than one role, but a pos1-oriented one would be a breath of fresh air to the roster imo.

Small observation, she has 2 guns. You see the tip of both guns briefly at the start, alongside her waist. Wild west style, so expect to see that play into her abilities somewhow.
