Your title is pretty misleading about my city… my office is on the 400 block of North Foster and there is almost nothing to be worried about working 24 hours a day. Definitely one of the lower crime rates in the state. And lots of excellent things coming to downtown Dothan very soon.
The point you mentioned about crime isn't true. Anywhere in Baldwin county, Huntsville, or Shelby County is going to have a lower crime rate than Dothan. Dothan does have a high crime rate for its size. It's not the worst but don't be misleading.
This is one of the lamest excuses for a travel channel I've seen on YT. But there are worse, and they pop up when looking for information about Dothan. I couldn't find one video about the town that seemed knowledgeable or even reliable. Have this clown team never seen statuary of people sitting on a bench? They're the type more interested in fast food drive-ups than art galleries or antiques. Very sad. I've never been to Dothan but was interested out of curiosity. Like, would it be a quiet place to spend a few months out of the year with good grocery stores and restaurants? Police response? Local D A and judges that protect property owners? Oh well. It doesn't look too promising but I suspect that's due to the people posting videos. Nobody ffom out of town cares about peanut festivals. 😊
The "Tanda Room" you're passing at 2:51 used to be "Featured Players Theatre," a fun community theatre that I was a part of when I lived in Dothan 😊 had a lot of fun memories there! Thanks so much for the video!
Great video! Loved it guys! My only experience with Dothan is going through on the way to Panama City Beach and it's been a long time since I went that way!
Just wait in two years ,then come back . Theres a new 60 million dollar city hall, and new civic center coming. The new civic arena is 240 million . Theres over 15 new developments coming to revamp downtown . Dothan has a lot of shows at the civic center and opera house and now the city is trying to capitalize on bigger venues and bigger shows.
