After a brief pause in uploads, I’m proud to show the exciting new exhibit in the HobbyBiology zoo! I love my reptiles and amphibians, but bugs are just as interesting to me! I hope I can help people like me, who have recently taken in a wolf spider and are looking for tips on how to care for it, and I hope other owners find its useful as well! Please leave feedback! What should we name it? 🤔

I remember keeping these spiders as a kid. Loved watching them build their burrows. Great vid!

I believe that's a mature female, she's absolutely gorgeous btw. I currently have a juvenile male Tigrosa Helluo which I named Wolverine but I'm on the lookout for a Dotted. I keep jumping spiders as well. It's very interesting seeing the differences in each genus and species.

I discovered it was a female too, after a few months long journey and 2 batches of eggs! Unfortunately, she passed away last month :( Unknown cause, and I really hope I wasn’t at fault, but i really don’t think so. It’s common for wild caught bugs and reptiles, etc, to randomly die :(( Still nice to hear thoughts and opinions on her! She was a beautiful specimen and I grew to like her a lot after so many feedings and egg-stractions. It’s always interesting hearing what viewers have going on too! All these animals are so diverse, it’s a huge world. Good luck with your search for a dotted, cherish wolverine!

name it , wulves ! Where I get that idea from. Great video, as usual, not your typical type. But that is what peaks my interest. I can see his eyes looking at you ! Congratulations on 100

I recommend you only feed when necessary, like when her abdomen is smaller. Just because they will take food doesn't mean you should feed them everyday. Fat abdomens are more likely to rupture if they fall.

Thank you for the advice 🙏 I've slown down with how many times I been feeding her in the last week or two and I agree it's definitely healthier and more sustainable. I'll mention that in my next video!

I'll have to mention it in a future video instead, but the feedback is much appreciated!
