Dotterel. St Agnes Head. Cornwall.

St Agnes Head on the North Coast of Cornwall has played host to a juvenile Dotterel over the past few days. It's been a while since I last saw one i Cornwall so I popped over to have a look today, and was blown away by how obliging it was. What a Stunning bird. Here's my video. I hope you enjoy it.

Hi Sabrina. Dotterels can often be quite fearless of humans. They breed in mountainous areas like the Cairngorms in Scotland where they don't often encounter humans. So, when they occasionally find themselves in an area where people are when they migrate south, they can be quite tolerant of us. They aren't always as tolerant as this one though 🙂 Thank you so much for watching 🥰

Another fine video John. It was great to meet you and chat a while, and great i didn't need to search for the bird as you were already there. Managed to fill a couple of SD cards before leaving it as I found it. All the best, Marcus.
