Freight train action between Melbourne, Ballarat and Geelong as part of the Regional Fast Rail diversions on 13 January 2005
The video commences with rare footage of double A class locomotives (A85 and A71) crawling up the 1 in 48 Ingliston Bank with a heavy load of logs and cement wagons at the Rowsley horse shoe curve and then again further up the grade between Bank Box Loop and Ballan. The train is then seen at Yendon and Moorabool on the Ballarat to Geelong line.
For the final scene, we return to the horse shoe curve near Rowsley where G515 and G524 make much lighter work of the grade on a short empty grain train.
