very good, I'm from Brazil, and I'm seeing this video, you are to be congratulated for the work, I play the Bass Drum Corp's Castro Alves. 'm from Paraiba, João person. Very good work Congratulations!!
@ZXROMEO I'm guessing that makes these quantum snare drums then? Sounds evolve with the times, and this is a great sound. We tend to like our drums to have a crack to them, instead of sounding like a wet cardboard box, these days.
@JessOnTheRun actually this was pretty clean and that drumline in the background was Bluecoats not Cadets and since you seem tobe complaining about their dirtiness why don't you join their line or where you one of the people who got (CUT)
@JessOnTheRun which core and what year because for the past 3-5 years SCV has been doing work and I must be pretty bright btw since I have marched Blue Devils B Corp since I was a High School freshman and will be trying out for A Corps in 2013
@BCDL08 No, the reason they didn't play it is because Murray Gusseck didn't feel that it was as cool as the rest of the music, so he cut it to try it out, and everyone on the line agreed that it was cooler to just crescendo the 16ths and stop.
@drummaboi96 Yeah. No offense or anything, because I don't know how good your chops are, but I definitely know I'm not good enough to pull it off. Hope to be someday but eh. SCV's the shit, that's all I know :D
Idk....what's up with that white tenor player guys technique? His fingers are all spaced out? Also, that bass drum seems super low for that chick. Shes not even playing in the center because it's so low. Idk. Im glad SCV changed from "we're trying to be cool" to "we win drum trophies."
@JessOnTheRun Well all I'm saying is this Corp does there thing their way and your corp does whatever they want but it's messed up to call something dirty that really isn't and I am bright since I'm the Drum Captain for my line for the third year in a row and I marched center for a Junior Corp since 2009
So much great playing from late 90s to 2010s that is lost in the era of poor audio quality. The recording makes the snares sound like a high school line that's feather tapping poorly.
I'm tired of hearing everyone compare corps to one another and especially to the blue devils. They are all great corps and one should enjoy each and everyone of them.
buzzing a note doesnt help with the timing between two 16th notes. this excercise was just a jammy crowd pleaser. And besides the original one is better anyway.
@drummaboi96 I just play along to recordings and make up stickings that work. Their stickings are intricate and I don't quite have the chops to pull some of them off yet.
