I found this technique once on you tube and lost it. I am so excited to find it today. I wrote the directions and the name, Ira Rott down so I can always go back. I could not get the hang of those other cords. I didn't have enough hands! I have used this in the little thread crochet coin purses I give away. They are so much prettier than a simple chain and a lot stronger.

I mean, in this method the finished project has two sides of v chain right. likewise how can we achieve three or four sides with it? I know this is a short cut version to achieve the traditional I cord (by knitting). by which method we can do as many sides as we desire. but I think it's not possible with short cut version

Why would this not be a good idea as a foundation chain? I’m a newbie and hate the normal flimsy chain.

@@IraRottDesigns I did try this over the weekend - I found it was very hard to stitch into afterwards - once I got it, it looked great but when I attempted to also put a border on the other side, it was also super tight to get into. I felt that I had crocheted it rather loosely - but it was still a struggled. Is that normal? Thank you so much for taking the time to answer. I appreciate it greatly!
