I actually met Marc Summers a couple of years ago, when they filmed some of his segments of Unwrapped at the Cereality I was working at in Philadelphia. I begged my boss to give me Sunday hours that week, just so I could be there. Got an autograph, too. Really nice guy.

And now, here's your Family Double Dare host, a man who always loves making a mess of things... MARC SUMMERS!
Family DD was on tonight and the family won a '88 Chevy Blazer, three k cash, and prizes.I'm almost 40 and when they got the last flag I got as excited as seeing it as a kid.
Imagine this blairing in the studio as the ending theme. Imagine being in the audience, and imagine the weird feeling when the music ends and nothing else plays. And the show is over.
That’s how we do it here on Family Double Dare; we’re here every Saturday and Sunday 3pm, 2 central. I had a great time, hope you had fun as well. I’m Marc Summers, thanks so much, see ya soon. Bye-bye!
Marc-On your mark...get set..Gooooooo! Harvey- Eggs,it's eggs, look at em' Bob loves them,we love them, their eggs, woooooow, right here on the show that loves eggs then any other show on TV,Double Dare!, and now here's your Double Dare host, the egghead on television Marc Summers!
I forget who involved with the show said this, but the genius of the theme is the hook, those three notes match with the three syllables of "Double Dare."
Gaw! I've been on this kick of watching episodes on here! I love this show, and miss it terribly! Always wanted to be on Nick... Just so i could be slimed. :) Still do. lol.
ManderZByteZ Well, Nick officially made a reboot which airs tonight. RU-vid star Liza Koshy will be the host and they have the OG, Marc Summers himself as well (as the announcer and from what I heard, obstacle correspondent). I admit, I wasn’t crazy about her at first but looking at clips on RU-vid, I will be the judge tonight
OMG!, I remembered that contest that Nickelodeon use to have when the kids and parents have to send an envelope for the Double Dare phone contest, man some massive phone bills were ranned up back in the day.
On your mark... get set... Go! "These two teams are not chicken but they are pecking gallons to try and fill up they buckets. The first time to fill up the bucket pass the line gets $25 and control of Round 1 on the show that loves to make a mess. It's Family Double Dare! And now here's your Family Double Dare host, a guy who always goes for the blue plate specials, Marc Summers!"
Man, I wish they would release every episode on DVD what i wouldnt do to relive a Saturday from my childhood watching Nickelodeon, get up at 5AM and start the day watching Nick Arcade(1994 when this was) and then watch an hour of the cartoons that were on back then, than at 6:30 or 7AM cant remember Family Double Dare would come on for an hour, than it would be all cartoons till noon then Family Double Dare would come back on for an hour then cartoons again till 7PM then it was SNICK
Thomas Russo let’s see how it goes with the reboot that premieres tonight. RU-vid star Liza Koshy will be host and Marc Summers will be the announcer/obstacle correspondent. The new version, The theme is also imposed by Edd Kalehoff (The original composer)
This was the very first Nick show I ever saw (the Super Sloppy edition to be more specific) as a kid, and it was the show that got me hooked on the network in the first place.
Lucky! I saw him at a burger cookoff about a year ago that I went to because my boss was supposed to be one of the contestants (he never showed though). Marc Summers was the MC and I tried to get up and introduce myself after his opening remarks but never got a chance because he was a celebrity judge and he kind of hid out under the judges' tent. I live in Philadelphia so I'm hoping to get another chance someday haha. That's awesome that you actually got to meet him though :)
Promotional consideration by Reebok. Every contestant gets a free pair of Reebok sneakers. Reebok, the official shoe of double dare cause life is not a spectator sport. And by green slime shampoo, gets you clean won’t turn you green. Now you can get slimed in your own shower. This is your announcer Harvey saying we double dare you to join us again for more super sloppy fun on Double Dare see ya.
OMG YES!!! Thank you you rule! Hahaha! My friends and I were obsessed with Reebok thanks to that...How could I forget about that?! We always thought it was so funny how Reebok became hand in hand with shit like Double Dare and 1988 pop culture. High Top Reebok's forever! 😀
I never watched this show, but after watching the Loud House episode "How Double Dare You!" (My #3 epsiode of the latter show), I see what it's like. Nickelodeon did a great job utilizing this show into a show!
No way Jose' even though Marc did say "the six words" that starts up Double Dare on one episode of Unwrapped when they did the "Happy Birthday" episode and that was it but I would like it if they played the Double Dare theme from the 1988 mid-season (glass block) syndication version or Nickelodeon version (first season).
Soundwave85 I just came back from LEGO Movie. I heard that two second music and went "no way.....no freakin' way!" I'm really glad I wasn't the only one that heard that.
i hate the syndicated double dare as rusev for rellik of the fbi smackdown a bit the reason worldwide in the fall of 1996 with nwo's big show before gosh though
