Great instructional video. While I'm only a L1 RAT, for the task, it appears to be a simple approach, compliant with standards, correct equipment for the task, well explained, and demonstrated with very smooth and efficient technique .... Thumbs up from me!
Your two points are the main line and back-up line. If the Grillon fails as you pull in you will take a small out of control swing of limited distance in to space. Any hazard should be well below the deviation point if it has been rigged correctly.
Question: Is it acceptable to increase the 20 degree angle when passing the deviation? In your case, it would be increased by passing the deviation based on your connection when passing. Or...do you rig it so when passing that becomes the 20 degree angle. Your videos are excellent, sir, and I'm seeking some clarification. Many thanks and keep up the good work.
Singles should be within 20 Deg and 1.5m due to swing potential. Doubles are the same if you're passing them as you could swing when you remove the cow's tail and lower out by hand. If you stay below the double it can be any angle and any off set.
