I'm 15 y/o, and every time I go to my grandparent's house, I always ask to take my father's old NES to play this game, I first did this when I was 10 and I still do it. This game is one of the best I've ever played. I never finished it. But I promise I will next time I'll go there. There's no way I'm playing it on an emulator, it loses all the interest I think... But anyway, this game is incredible and no one can say otherwise.
Yep. Once we figured out "The Mighty Knee Maneuver" the game was quite easy to beat. If you had a turbo controller you just held down A and B. I would always lure the first boss to the edge and send him flying off. Likewise to the other enemies near edges and water 😁
Maybe y'all know this, but if you select 2 Player B, you can frienldy hit. And if you kill your partner you get his lives with this you can mount up to 6 or 7.
Real nostalgia. I totally forgot this game out of the foundation laying game changing franchises. Without double dragon we may never have some of the smash hit arcades we have today. Good share. I actually zeroed the game as a kid in two player mode. It was a blast
I played it with my sister when we were kids on some chinese nes clone :D And some other favourite games from which I remember Goal 3 (it was fun as hell haha), Super Mario 14, and ofc classics like Contra or SMB. All pirate versions of some games I dont even know the orginal tittles of, bought on local bazaar full of cheap chinese shit :D Man those 90s and early 2000s crazy times of my childhood. Ao nostalgic to see this game after this long time.
This one was by far my favorite one. My uncle and I used to slaughter this game with 2 player mode. When they introduced that knee and spinning kick to the 2nd game it was over with. That Knee damage was so satisfying and still is. Lol. I beat this game countless times. And then would play it over again. The end boss was hard ass hell doing all those flips anf cartwheels and shit
@@tonyp9313 It's quite easy. I think A+B after coming up from a jump and landing. The ''propeller kick'' was also very effective. Basically used these two most of the game.
I overused that move every time I played. I loved using it on the big ass bosses and watching them fly across screen 😂😂😂 the move where you grab one by the hair, punch them, them throw them was great too.
Same, just played Double Dragon II for the first time ever through NES Online. And yeah I found out the hard way I have to beat it on supreme master...
Right this how I grew up me and my brothers used to call that brown guy with the green pants Arnold Schwarzenegger lol🤣🤣 because he looked like him I think they did that intentionally
I remember starting with 2 players even if I was alone then at the first screen, I killed my mate to steal all his lives. Double the lives made it possible for me as a kid but still challenging ^^'
>Dominant Strategy, The Playthrough. Yeah, that hurt to watch. When making a video, you're supposed to mix it up and make it interesting--give it some variety. This guy is using the Flying Mantis Kick on low-tier enemies.... Pretty sure that's illegal, unless you want a good laugh and you perform it on someone to knock them into the water.
Nostalgia.Get emotional when see such things because it bring memories of those times, those people, family and friends gone never to return.wish could turn the hands of time.Hope to meet them again in heaven and enjoy again those times
What a game? Double Dragon bringing back memories. In those days Japan was the world leader in producing 2d games prior to the advent of 3rd games which came much later. These games brings back so much memories.Double Dragon, Contra, Mario, Teenage mutant Ninja turtles 3 and it's a never ending list wow feels so much to play these games again. These games are evergreen. Those were the days.
That final boss is weak and easy as you can see. The real challenge is the boss rush before that. The bosses just keep on coming one after the other and those ninja's...all that with one life.
"and those ninjas"... Stand there and spin kick... ninjas die quickly. Also. The final boss is really kool to beat with power moves. Fade away spin kicks work great. He also frequently runs into knee attacks if you have the faith to just execute them. Uppercuts work too, if you just use them any time you land.
@@fench1234567 Hell yeah, I always loved hitting both ninjas at the same time with the spin kicks. A lot of enemies get baited with the spin kick into the flying knee, so much fun lol
I love this game, this brings back so much memories, me and my brother used to play it together and we actually completed this game 2 times 😭✨ those were the good days....
Wow, this really does evoke a lot of nostalgia and reminds me of the great times when I was a little boy at my Aunt Jennifer's house playing this game with my cousins and even by myself on the original NES system way back in the 90's . Double Dragon II Revenge truly is a vintage game .
Health was clearly hacked... Hardest difficulty and the last boss takes SEVERAL HITS to take even a single bar of your health... that's NOT double dragon.
You guys have obviously never played this game. That's the way this game's health system works, one bar of hp doesn't mean "1 hitpoint" This game is easier than it looks. I played it a lot when I was a kid.
Cuando me acabé este juego de pequeño, lloré con el final xD (recuerdo que lo hice porque batallé en terminarlo por completo, terminarlo fue una satisfacción demasiado grande)
If u wait for them to get close you can jump and do the cyclone kick and knock them both back and do that 3 times and they're dead. My dad played this game a LITTLE too much
@@M4GNUMOPUS Nah, I fit in okay because I grew up somewhere that throwing balls was more valued than having brains 😁 That said, yeah, it was and I am weird for growing up with such weird ideas. I mean, I had family that actually believed the cure for chicken pox was throwing a chicken over your head as you faced east. And it hasn't made me poorly adjusted or bitter in any way... 😢😢
7:39 Abobo: Omg Look out! *Throws player to safety* I'MA GOOD CAPTAIN!!!! *Falls out helicopter* *Walks through the pilot door again* Hey i just remembered you're a Stow away! *Kicks player* now then i'm supposed to be outside *walks back out the door of the helicopter* xD
I loved to pick up the fallen weapons and beat the enemies, especially the ones you can throw at your enemies. They should make a new double dragon game. With present day graphics and controllers I think it would be awesome.
back in my old days (abt 20 years ago), that eye in mission 6 scared the hell out of me lol. Beating this game together with my sister... ahh nostalgia...
used to play this with my neighbour on the weekend when we were 10 years old. the nostalgia. and i still remember my friend mum used to yell out my friend name when its almost 7pm while we were rocking out this game all day long
4:02 = I never really understood the logic behind that 1st boss. He takes a few hits, then he dissappears. He then comes back only to take one more hit, and then dissappears, never to be seen again. It's like he gives himself a second chance but then says "screw this, this guy is too good for me, let me take off and watch that Desperate Housewives marathon on TV"
From memory you can draw him back to the ledge to the left of screen and knee him off the side of the building. Kneeing people off ledges was my favourite part of this game.
20 años después supe el final de este maravilloso juego, la nostalgia te envuelve, te llena la mente de maravillosos recuerdos. Gracias double dragon II
1988 predicted a nuclear war in the next decade. Then people went out in the green glowing streets to fight, with their fists. This is your future children. NES games were awesome!
Double Dragon II (1989) CLASSIC!!!! I was around 7-8 y.o when I beat this game. Definitely the best Double Dragon game of all time with Super Double Dragon at #2.
Giocabilità stratosferica!!! Decisamente migliore rispetto a quella di qualsiasi altro Double Dragon. La grafica rivela i limiti del vecchio NES 8bit anche se sono stati sapientemente apportati miglioramenti apparenti
I am 36 years old and remember playing this along with many of the nes games in my collection as a kid in 90s either by myself or with my older brother who is 42 now. Would play with my cousin Jeff and some friends and stay up late.
juegos de verdad q pasabas bien jugando con tus amigos de la infancia "dame el control me toca a mi", no como ahora q todo es streaming. extraño esa epoca de juego
