I absolutely adore this game. Back in 1998, on my first ever summer vacation, I used to propose a trade to the lady that sold the coins for he machine, by offering her sandwiches and she gave them to me. Best fighting game of my childhood, Cheng-Fu was one of my childhood heroes and this game needs a remake like ASAP. I also made a playthrough on my channel, had to do it definitely :D Keep up the great work !!!
There were a couple voice actors who passed away, dearly, in this, they were the most magnificent legendary seiyuu's in the entire Japanese history. They both played a couple characters in this game. One died over a brain disease and the other one, committed suicide over some diabetes that he can't live over, I guess.
Double Dragon Neo Geo>>>>Double Dragon 5 Shadow Falls, the real Double Dragon fighting game, which brought back the franchise, after Double Dragon 5 almost killed it!
Bada$$ game! A local conner shop had this arcade in there...I became a regular so much the shop owner almost adopted me!!!Lol!😃 A lot of kids lost A lot of silver when I played as Dulton😏
If Snk revived this DD (fg) series, it would be more likely that they would use the RoTD base, not this game. Neither was actually made by Snk, but RotD is more modern. I'm not sure now but maybe some of the devs (i forgot the company name) even had actual Snk background. So it would make more sense.
@@calvinbafshoe2626 bro u can't specifically find it on ps. U have to download that's apk file from google then u can play. It's actually very easy to download
My favourites were absolutely dulton and cheng fu... but amon's super move always fascinate me! Unfortunatelly I never felt really comfortable with him
@@torachan23 what do you mean lol? Double Dragon 5 Shadow Falls was what almost killed the Double Dragon franchise, if it weren't for this real Double Dragon fighting game, it would've been dead!
The game is from a time when for some reason, the companies started using these flashing lights in their games. Maybe it was a "hot" tech discovery that became trendy in that time, the mid 90s. Like Xmen vs SF and Marvel vs SF are particularly "flashy" among the rest of the Marvel series. The same for other Snk games around the same time like Samsho 2 and 3, the first Kof's, etc. Thankfully the trend didnt last too long.
The game is from an era of wild technology discoveries and experimentation where everything was very new. The companies were in fact interested in offering gameplay that would be seen as "broken" and unnacceptable - in retrospect by people from a later time. But all games started that way and it's natural. The first SF2 release had 80% damage combos, which was only fixed later, and other games like FF and the first Kof's had simple broken combos as well. Not to mention the whole absurd of the Marvel series combos. Companies were interested in showing new possibilities (from SF2) first. Then only later comes the concern in balancing the broken gameplay, which all fg sequels try to do naturally. This series was simply unlucky that it wasnt developed further like Capcom and Snk's own games.
TECHNOS Executive- I wanna make a fighting game for our movie, but every machine I see in the arcade is a quarter munching fighting game... how can we make one that's unique from the rest Technos Employee- lets take the street fighter 2 formula and crank it up to eleven Technos Executive- Genius!!!!!! I can smell the pleasant aroma of profits from a mile away.
Due to some of the characters mumbling in here this is my best guess on what some of these guys are saying. Abobo: I will be the king! Cheng Fu: Nanta, mushi mattei Duke: You better sleep kid! Rebecca: I haven't lost yet Amon: Ken no kokano bato owari! Burnov:This is you in the meat?? Shuko:Tonight i will ????? Mirian:Bingo! Eddie:Owarchi??
