Hi Ms.peggy you brought back memories my Grandmother use to fix this dish for us all the time one of my favorite dishes thank you for sharing may God continue to bless you!
This looks delicious, it is really different. I love something different every now and then! Yum Peggy! Great video! Sending Blessings and Love. ♥️☺️🕊🙏🌞
Ms. Peggy- You might need a microphone to clip on yourself while you're talking. I think the people saying they can't hear you are a combination of a few things-when you're not close to the camera mic the sound is more muffled, plus there is the sound of the food cooking too. In addition to that I find sometimes when you make videos with instructions you have to speak louder and a little slower. Anyway, I love your videos! Food looks yummy.
Hi love this video; thanks for the shout out; so good to see you using the pot; smiling from ear to ear; no joke...your videos are so good in my opinion equal to the Food Network. Very good presentations and I love okra ❤️🙏
christellj1 Hi Christellj1, I got it at a vintage store in Maryland; only that one was available; as soon as I saw it I knew where I had seen that design before and grab it for Mrs. Peggie.
I might make me a Sucattach Sunday with Chicken, Sausages, Shrimp, Orka, Purple Lima Beans I might add corn normally I don't and sometimes I add crabs. I really want fresh garden Orka but I may have to purchase the frozen ones for now.
OMG these are all my favorites ! Unfortunately I can’t eat tomatoes any more due to food allergies to shade vegetables ! I love smothered okra & tomatoes ! Some deliciousness going on !! Thank you for sharing !
Mamma Peggy correct me if I'm wrong but I know I'm not I grew up knowing succotash is not okra and tomatoes and corn succotash Is lima beans and corn 🤔🤔🤔🤔
I love succotash and love love love okra. I would need 3 cups of okra to 1 cup each of the other veggies. I love almost any kind of vegetable. I love lima beans. I just don't like meat in my vegetables or beans or casseroles. I like it seasoned with meat but taken out after their cooked. This meal looks do good!
I had boiled okra, and I leave the tops on to reduce the slime. After done, I put salt, pepper, and vinegar, and eat up to the stump. I do not like onions. I love okra, especially fried okra and succotash. I am Muslim, so i do not eat pork or pork products. Enjoy your meal.❤️💕🇺🇸
Hard to hear you Mrs. Peggy. I don't like okra unless it's fried first, then added to what ever I'm cooking to get rid of some of the slime. That slime in okra turns me off. Succotash is something that I haven't had in a long time. It's more of a seasonal dish for me. I cook it in late summer and fall, so I can use fresh veggies in it. We eat ours with cornbread. I use the same ingredients as you do, except I put bacon and a little bit of spicy sausage in mine.
I don't care for marinara sauce. Just some mayonnaise or miracle whip, some butter and seosonings. And a spoonful if sugar. I put sugar in almost everything I fix. Not enough to sweeten savory dishes but just enough to enhance the flavor. It really makes a difference. I see you do the same thing. Ummm ummm good!
Sometimes I can hear you; sometimes not - I think it has to do with where you are standing - or if you're too far from your camera. I'm viewing this video on my laptop.
Sometimes the sizzling background noise an our background noise cancel out your voice. At night once the ambulance sirens traffic babies crying church bells settle down , then your voice is clearly heard.
If i do eat marinara sauce that first amount you put on the noodles was just enough. I only like just enough to coat the noodles. Not over power them. I also like my noodles to set for few hours. It tastes so much better and different. The spices really Mel into the noodles. I'm commenting as I watch. That's why I have several comments.
