I like the pooch…thought he was a fox for the first couple of minutes 😂 he should be in more of your videos. Good fish btw You always seem to get the sunshine 🌞 happy days!
Aye I know somehow we always get the weather was saying no Noah it’s going to be a disappointment when we get the bad weather. Cannot complain tho absolutely spoiled
Tide is very strong at the lighthouse, so need to pick your day, and your time, carefully. Two ounce jig doesn't reach the bottom if, the tide is running hard. Better at Caliach point, Glengorm, or the back of Duart Castle.
Fished that mark on Sunday for a few hours. Half a dozen 2-3lbers, two 5lbers, and a 7lber, with one bigger fish stripping loads of line and snapping my leader. Two other guys there who blanked.
Aww brilliant man, r u local there? I was fishing Sunday was tough day like didn’t get much, had a juvenile haddock on a lure which I was very surprised about and one cod.
What sort of lures were u getting them on. Me and my brother always have wee competition when we go and it tottaly depends on the lures we r using usually the person with the smaller lures gets into the fish and the person on the spinners is catching none. But dunno if thats just coincidence or
@@PringlesRodandReel Nah. I'm in Central Scotland, though I lived on Mull for ten years. I was passing on my way home from another mark, so remembering your vids, took a detour for old times sake. I fished there long ago, and it hasn't changed much, apart from an infestation of kayakers. I used cheap Temu jigs, SG Seeker, and Drift Sandeel, fished on the flood, from the point to the west of the pylon. It's not so much, about which lures, as how you fish them. Pollack are always, close to structure and kelp. Wind a lure right by their nose and they can't resist, but be prepared to lose a lot of lures. I lost 5 lures in three hours, on Sunday, which isn't unusual, - hence, cheap Temu jigs. Met that dog. He likes apple pie!
@@thorfinnravenfeederaw man costs me a fortune go thru so much tackle there it’s not even funny. Don’t think it can be good for environment either. Love the place haven’t found a mark like it. been looking loads. Dogs great will not leave our side when go 🤣
@@PringlesRodandReel Glengorm, Caliach Point, and Duart Castle, all on Mull, are similar quality marks with the same 5-7lb Pollack. What surprises me about the mark in the vid is that, I've never caught a mackerel there, despite fishing it with lures many times over the years. I was on Mull last week and the Mackies were so thick at Duart, I couldn't get through them to the Pollack. They were taking a 50g Drift Sandeel! Big pod of Dolphins very close to shore at Glengorm when I was there. Thought I'd hooked one, but it was a 7lb Pollack with a turbo. Funny how, some Pollack take off like an express train when hooked, and others fight closer to shore.
