Talk about a power packed combo. That's enough torque to move Mount Rushmore! Thanks for this most excellent video. Professional job. These are two of the most appealing locomotives in the world to watch. What an impressive show!
Good for the Black Hills Central for bringing another articulated back to life and double-heading it, and good for you for capturing the event so well. Thumbs Up!
I love watching the Big Boy but I think I like watching these little articulateds more. Very good job at capturing these mighty midgets. Fall colors are amazing. Life is very good. Thanks for this.
Way back in the 1970's I owned an HO version of what was nearly identical to No. 108. Selling it was one of my biggest regrets ever. It once pulled 23 scale weighted cars and a caboose, with almost no effort. The 23rd car was a bit to much though. Great model, great engines, great video.
Great video! Some of those passenger cars are from the old Oregon Electric Railway (OE) that once ran from Portland, Oregon to Eugene, Oregon. The OE is now part of BNSF Railway track that went to Portland and Western Railroad (PNWR).
1:12 Is 7 still serviceable? Last time she ran was in 2003 I believe, she's not been running for 17 years now, I sure do hope we can see her in action again one day alongside the mallets
From what I heard it could only pull four cars up the steep grade and they usually run seven. So unlikely it will ever run again on that line. It could be sold to another railroad. It's a good looking locomotive.
@@shanewalters4171 You are welcome. Now that they have two operating steam locomotives it will be more likely they would be willing to sell it. Would be good to see it running again.
