I was privileged to experience this when landing in San Francisco several years ago. Our pilot announced the plane landing beside us so passengers could see the exciting moment.
Breathtaking for second plane passengers and more skill for controlling speed for rear one, ahead one has only to run fast and make the last turn correct. Rear one has to contain speed also along with this all.
Double Airplane landing was cool. But what was much cooler was that it's the same type of aircraft and the same airline. It's unbelievably rare and very cool.
@@oyewunmiakinmoye5261 legally speaking, they could have been a formation flight of two if that were the case. Extremely unlikely for commercial airlines for insurance and other faa regulation reasons, but doable, if no passengers are aboard.
Now this is Heaven for me. Two American Airlines A321s with sharklets landing at SFO. When I take American out of SFO it’s usually; an A321 with sharklets.
Mate are you on the wrong video? I know this channel was recommended by Jawed, the first person who made a RU-vid video, but how did this comment get here?
Back when I lived in Southern California, I often flew from Burbank to San Francisco. I loved being in the plane and watching the plane landing on the parallel runway. Not all of my fellow passengers were so thrilled.
@@MaulinAgrawal1217 oh, you're so lucky! The closest airport where I could do that is a 90 minute drive. Our regional airport is practically nonexistent now, which is a shame, because when they renovated it a number of years back, they created an indoor observation deck. You could see EVERYTHING! It's such a shame we can't get some LCC in there, like Southwest.
How you did this? Amazing. Catching both flight in one frame is incredible. no words, professional take. First time I am seeing two planes landing at a time in two different runways. Outstanding work. You need real patience and luck to capture this kind of events. Hats off.
Meanwhile we say here at LAX every 5 minutes “that’s something ya don’t see at SFO” I know I know I’m just a little proud!! 🙋🏼♂️ guilty as charged. Like Randy Newman sang,,,,, 🎶“ I LOVE LA” 🎶 Great effort up there Kevin,,,, appreciate what you share. Glad you had a safe trip and back home here in “MAYBERRY”
Notwithstanding the sophisticated electronics, weather and pilot skill, to be in such close proximity whilst landing is sheer madness. Takes one fatal accident and the FAA will be rewriting the book, guaranteed!
Much respect to the first pilot for "stepping on the gas" so he can make way for the second pilot behind him, and even more respect to the second pilot for reading that and "slamming his brakes" to make that possible without having to communicate directly with one another. These two need a pay raise! 👏👏👏
I love this video. This video remembers me went Iwas working in Atlanta some time went they are late i see before 2 planes landing at the same time that's nice because went the airplanes coming close to the same close gate that's is went the rush star because they want to go out of the gate as soon as possible. but I love this video
Wow I like it they are professional they are mates these pilot.. they know what's going on it a good double landing that trust me.... Just like me and my mate when we drive we don't race we get to location together on time this plane is an example....👍👍
SFO is an interesting place. I read once that despite being in California, it has the most weather delays for flights of any other airport in the US because of the fog. I don’t know if that’s still true. I wonder why this kind of overcrowded runway is allowed there. But it has a good safety record so I guess it works. I have watched planes land there from the Red Lobster overlooking the waterfront and it’s kind of lovely.
@@SYDAirlineEnthusiast I think he/she means that we generally have good weather in California, so it’s surprising that there are as much weather delays as there are.
@@SpicyFaceActual it might help that cities in california have a lack of preparation for bad weather as they assume everyday will be having the best weather then unlike cities in the northern states who are well-prepared for it, which is why when you go to california, you will hear a local be nervous to travel some with cold weather, though a local in the northern states can handle both hot and cold weather.
