The man who built the astral library in Hermitcraft claims he can’t build. I never thought I’d see the day. Also being paired with Jimmy and dying before him is a little embarrassing just saying :D In all seriousness I love your content and I can’t wait for the rest of this season

It feels like Jimmy and Tango bonded very well through a traumatic experience

When Jimmy sees your hermitcraft ice castle, he's gonna be awfully mad about you saying you're not a builder :P

I love that this brings back the 'fear of the unknown' for even the really experienced minecrafters. Hearing Grian screaming and panicking, Tango describing it being like a voodoo doll...it really does add a great new layer to the game without making it less fun. Once everyone figures out who their soulmate is it's slightly less scary, but even then, you're faced with the dilemma of choosing between fighting/exploring together so you can keep an eye on each (but both of you being vulnerable to the same foes/pitfalls) or staying apart so one of you can stay safe (but then the one doing the fighting/exploring has no backup). It's definitely my favourite twist on 3rd Life, so far!

the change in jimmy's voice after he's like "WHAT HAPPENED?" into "nah, it'll happen, i don't mind" was like when you get sent to the headteacher for something you didn't do

21:30 when i first noticed martin's messages while watching scar's or grian's pov, i misread allay as ally, and i had imagined some very confused sad looking player standing by the world border, so panicked about not being able to find their soulmate that they are completely dumbfounded and unresponsive and are only able to stand there and hold a sapling in their hand

Tango's immediate panic from the powdered snow.... must be PTSD from the beginning episode of hermitcraft

I feel like everyone should have started with 4 lives, instead of 3. Since the deaths will be happening twice as quickly, due to the soul link, 3 lives might lead to a very short series.

I think Cleo and Scott had the right idea - caving with a soulmate is probably more dangerous than caving with someone else. If at least one person is out of danger, that probably means consistent eating/healing. Except, you know, when creepers happen.

Is it me or does the pathing seem to be insane after the update. I'm sure everyone saw the pillagers follow the guys all the way to b dubs as well. It's like they are quicker and stay on a target.

Tango saying that he's not a builder is such self-slander... like excuse?? he's amazing (starter base, mega base, nether hub from season 9 alone is incredible) - he's great also I'm excited to see this partnership : D awesome episode

I'm loving this series... so many shenanigans and to see even professional Minecrafters struggle through the early game a bit makes me appreciate how difficult this game can be sometimes.

Scar is still alive so far and Tango is the first death. This will be fun.

Actually, that's a lovely little house, especially considering the limited time and resources you had building it, and I think the fact that you think it's ugly is probably proof that you are, in fact, A Builder. (Also your Hermitcraft builds. Those are also proof that you are an amazingly talented builder.)

Tango, you bite your tongue! "I'm not a builder" my big ol' backside! Look at your lovely house this season, not to mention Fifi from last season! Mind you, Jimmy's a bit of a liar himself. He's not as much of a builder as you are, but he's improving greatly, as you can see on his later episodes of Empires and his builds on Afterlife. You're both perfectly good builders. Hush.

My jaw dropped when Tango said he wasn't a builder. His Astral Library nether hub in HC is one of the most intricate and beautiful builds in recent memory.

Tango saying he can't build is the best joke iv'e heard in a while. Just look what he did in the last hermitcraft season. unbeliavable!

Caving for iron will be a major pain. Most of the mountain surface iron will be taken as well. Your best bet is likely to strip-mine inside the mountains for iron honestly.

I could see, once a team gets to red life, one player hides and downs health potions, regen potions, and eats while the other person is out playing the "tank" without the need to pause for healing or eating.

Dying for a soulmate is a bold strategy. I like it. xD This is some good ol' 2012 Minecraft... with goat horns and blue fairies lol I LOVE that you can't make potions nor do you have access to villages. Are you able to cure a Zombie Villager with a Witch though? Doing that twice to make a breeder and then an iron farm would be difficult but if you can, it's possible. Then you could use the poppy farm to create bone meal... hmmm btw THANK YOU for doing your own intro. Last season I was going mental having to listen to Grian introduce the episode over a dozen times. Once was enough lol

There is no such thing as an ugly house when it gets dark. Anything with walls, a roof, and most importantly a door is a beautiful sight.

@21:30 Considering the way 'Life' seasons go, the idea of building INTO the mountain is genius. Imagine the hidden corridors, traps, and shenanigans in general. And it'd actually give people like Tango, Etho, Impulse and hopefully Mumbo or Doc a major edge.

It’s not a bad starter base. I don’t like shallow roofs, but considering the pallet you had to work with it’s actually quite nice. I like the cobblestone walls besides the door.

I think part of the reason the 3rd Life/Double Life/X Life series are so interesting to me is because they feel like a more social/casual version of UHC form back in the day. I want to watch everyone's perspectives to catch where all the different teams/alliances are at, and it's just an awesome and fun dynamic to watch. Super excited for Double Life!

I feel like friendships will be tested during this.
