This is true, I was watching the fishing rod game incident last episode from her perspective and it made sense and than I watched it from Grian's perspective and it made no sense

To be honest the dog army could save her if it gets big enough. Imagine getting attacked by a player AND like 20 dogs, I'd just run away

If you put two pieces of string next to each other and try to pull them apart, it's much easier than 2 pieces of string intertwined. I think teaming up is kinda necessary, for the endgame at least, but teaming up with your soulmate might be the wrong way to go I agree

@@zyaicob we could make a pros and cons list about this but the short of it is that being next to your soup mate lets you know when something bad will happen and help, but the cons are you can get cought in the same trap. And by pure anecdotal evidence the 2 who didn't team up are the last to go red. Its also interesting that Etho and Joel didn't have any deaths resulting from being together. (Joel hit the boat and got himself killed, being in the company of wtho didn't change that, and then jpel died from his fall damage alone for the fishing rod stuff, etho had barely gotten a block off the ground when joel went splat, granted they would have died anyway with the second impact so thats a point against teaming up with your soulmate)

i think it has more to do with the chaotic nature of the players. Very few of the deaths were due to combined damage. Scar's deaths this episode were both due to his own damage, and one of ren/bigb got oneshot by a stalactite. In fact, the only death I can think of due to combined damage was when joel broke the boat under the enderman he was hitting.

He didn't die first in Last Life, that was Joel followed closely by Mumbo because Joel tried to boogey, Mumbo striked him down, and then Scar killed Mumbo.

They are really good survivors if you actually think about it, the Desert Duo became the final two in Third Life, with Grian being the last to go red and Scar being the first. Grian also never died because of an accident or trap in the Life series, always dying due to pvp (except when he took his last life).

@@falsnamae3511 Well, no. But then pvp is just player combat, even if it's just someone taking advantage of a situation to get an easy kill, like Joel did with Grian, twice.

On the other hand, them having the shortest yellow lives is quite believable.

You're forgetting literally every red can PVP really well, if they split off and be smart about it, like Grian, Bdubs, and Etho stay together and then their partners stick together, they might be able to take them out. Currently rooting for Cleo/Martyn an Impulse/Bdubs. I really don't want Grian or Scott to win tbh

the only actual pvp skill deaths so far have been what? etho's shot on jimmy? Even that was mostly fall damage lol. Sure you can consider stalactite deaths to be pvp but honestly I'm not sure I feel good about stalactite kills in a helmetless server

@@fortcolors9887 Grian's kill on ren is one of the most epic things to ever happen, and i don't think they actually wanted to PVP this session, no red's actually attacked each other which DEFINITELY wouldn't normally happen. Next session will probably be the last, and some people are about to be let loose, Like Bdubs and Joel/Etho. PVP fs wasn't a goal towards the reds this session

i feel like its the fear that makes her so strong. if The Red Army were to just walk up and try to kill her, they would probably succeed, but due to the fear of how calm she is, they might think she's planning something when in reality she's relatively harmless. unless you hurt Tilly. there is also the fact that they have labelled her as "unhinged". when you think of something a certain way for a while, you may start to believe it, hence the fear of Pearl.

Boogeyman was only possible because some people had more than 3 lives and there were no soulmates. This series there were already 8 red lives before the end of the 4th session, had there been a boogeyman each boogeyman kill would have taken 2 lives and there would have likely been more red lives a lot quicker, and eliminations in the 3rd and 4th sessions.

@Liam Engram absolutely. I also agree with the other guy that the Boogeyman was cool when it did work. Not that it would work for this season, but that it would be cool if they ever do another iteration in future

@@rangermitchausen I think if they brought something similar back it would be cool if there was a life steal mechanism added. Like, at the beginning of the session one or more player's names turn red (even though they would still have the same number of lives) so that everybody knows to be wary of them. BUT if they can pull off a kill during that session they steal that person's life and it gets added to their total. No penalty for NOT getting a kill like there was with the boogeyman though. Example: They start the first session. Etho and Cleo are chosen as the - for lack of a better term - "Vampires". Etho decides to go for the kill, Cleo doesn't want to make enemies yet. Etho gets a kill and Cleo doesn't. So when they end the session Etho has 4 lives and Cleo still has 3.

They did have a boogeyman: Pearl.

They all occasionally doing it. Not on Double Life though, but in previous seasons somebody did it. Anyway, I really liked hers.
