absolute chaos, i still don't know what's going on!!

you know with cleo and pearl being swapped out for gem and lizzie respectively. gives off a weird multiverse vibe and i’m all her for it.

I love that lizzie stepped in for pearl and gem for cleo, it was such a fun way for them to be absent!

With Pearl and Cleo both having a substitute player this episode, I think Grian should of had Mumbo sub for him for the episode he was sick.

nothing will be more confusing then watching cleo’s video and knowing that it’s gem but then suddenly hearing lizzie as pearl, baffling

I love the lore implications behind Lizzie and Gem knowing each other. It's as if they somehow mentally got isekai'd into this series.

I love Grian and Pearl’s commentary/reaction. Just adds to this in the best way possible.

Really enjoyed the episode. Found the commentary hilarious. Was laughing so hard when Pearl was chosen as the boogey. Of course she would be chosen the session she can't be here. Thanks to Lizzie for filling in so well.

Lizzie playing as you is so disorienting yet funny, along with gem playing Cleo. Made a super entertaining session

After watching both Pearl's and Cleo's episodes, I love how it's clear that Cleo gave Gem a FULL rundown of the situation, stressing that Scar was her favorite son and that Etho was the absent father who should remain so, and hammer that in for the gag at every opportunity. Meanwhile, it seems Pearl just threw Lizzie into it with a "lol good luck!" (either because Pearl didn't explain or the equally likely possibility that Lizzie didn't pay attention). "Secret" subs was such a good solution here, and the fact the entire server played along made an entertaining little side dish to complement the murder main course! Shame on Joel for breaking Kayfabe! XD

Man that amnesia cold must be going around! Cleo and Pearl both coming down with it!

I like how Lizzie tried so hard to break every ally ship and somehow fixed all of them for pearl

I love that everyone just goes along with Pearl and Cleo being played by Lizzie and Gem(obviously everyone knows) but Joel can’t help but say “Hey Lizzie” when he hears her 😂

Never thought I'd be watching Pearl react to her own characters actions. This was a brilliant idea! Too funny and Lizzie was a great choice.

Next life season should be a "Different life" where people swap every now and then.

The idea of switching places could be a great idea for the next life series!!

I love that everyone on the server just made the choice to play Gem and Lizzie's fill-in straight. 😂

LizziescentMoon is something I never knew I needed till now, her kill on Grian had me crying from laughing so hard, Lizzie is the best 🤣

Hearing Grian's absolute panic when he pushed that button was absolutely hilarious. Very fun to see it from --Lizzie's-- Pearl's perspective.

What timing to throw in Gem and Lizzie in the second most chaotic time in the server. The confusion adds to the hilarity.

I just realised how brave it was to choose Lizzie and to not brief her at all. "Cleo" immediately became arguably the best PvPer on the server, "Pearl" was just trying to survive the chaos and it was hilarious 🤣

Pearl's commentary feels like the voices in Lizzie's head telling her to do the most chaotic things

Lizzie as Pearl, and Gem as Cleo. AMAZING.

Pearl sounds so different after coming from Japan. She sounds british now.

I was worried this episode wouldn't stand up to the others, but it absolutely did. The fall trap still not working, the accidental betrayal of allies, the Grian trap not working as intended but still panning out. absolutely great episode

You know, since fanartists and animation makers usually draw Pearl upside down in these series, I wonder if we'll see animations of Lizzie trying to stand on her head and losing her balance.

Pearl steels Scott and Martyn's enchanter, who takes it back. LizzyMoon takes another from the Bad Boys who took it from the TIES and then gives it back to the Bad Boys. Somewhere along the line the TIES steels one from the Bad Boys. I think all is balanced out now.

I actually really really loved that you made a reaction video out of this! Just an extra layer of interesting on top of all the chaos already happening.

If I had a nickel everytime Pearl has had sessions where she was the Boogeyman and still got cured while she was physically not playing, I would have two nickels. Which isnt a lot but it is weird it has happened twice.

Lizzies chaos energy matches pearl’s so well and I’m here for it

There's so much to talk about here. First just... the Style of Pearl's edited commentary making her like the voice of malice in Lizzie-filling-in-for-Pearl's head, as though she herself was the voice of boogieman possessing her. Then I love the strange journeys of the stolen enchanters this session. A perfect comedy of errors amidst all the chaos of the session where everything somehow ends up neat and sorted in the end. And last of course there's just how Lizzie's comedic timing with the boogie kill on Grian was impeccable. _Especially_ with the prior events showing a through line of everything coming together. First Lizzie loses an hour to Grian pushing buttons randomly. Then the reveal that It was Grian who did it, combined with explicit discussion that this is how you would kill a Grian, and finally the trap itself, in all its hilarity, with Lizzie gaining back Pearl's lost hour.

I really enjoyed Pearl‘s commentary in this episode. If felt both like a refreshing and an enriching concept.

I remember watching a few of Lizzie's videos back 10 years ago or so when she was a small youtuber. Wild to see her at this level of popularity.

Lizzie was so funny lol. Her confusion made it so much better haha. The switch spiced things up for sure. Can be great content the next Life series as someone has commented.

You don't know how hilarious it was to watch Lizzie casually chat with Scott while you where whispering "Kill him!" like a devil on her shoulder! XD

Your disembodied reactions were great! This kinda makes me want to see a series where two people are responsible for one body and switch off every episode/so often.

Having seen it from the other perspective the Boogie kill was classic Lizzie. If there was an 'X-life quiz' question asking "which player killed using this method whilst the Boogie" I'd have definitely picked her. 😂

I was dying when Lizzie!Pearl showed up in Cleo’s video.

I love how Pearl's voiceover reaction was just "Oh of course. Of course Grian would push the buttons"

Not sure if it’s already been mentioned somewhere in the comments but the reason that Gem had to sub out for Cleo was that Cleo’s computer died like six hours before the recording session. Gem stepped in last minute because Lizzie had already been recruited to cover during Pearl’s business trip. 11:37 Grian pushed the button

I can just imagine lizziepearl is 3am pearl, tired from the day, a little confused and forgetful, but not yet tired enough to awaken the 5am pearl, but still late/tired enough to hear 5am pearl in her head (voice over pearl).

I was watching cleo/gem's pov and when I saw that lizzie was playing you this week I was just so excited to see all that went wrong XD The life series is such a confusing series if you're not keeping up with it so this was very entertaining to watch both of your switcheroos

It's hilarious how both you and Cleo had substituted the same day. Watching her video first it threw me through a loop, took me a hot minute to realize it was Lizzy. Keep in mind Lizzy succeeded her one and only genuine Boogey in Last Life so she was a solid backup given what had happened.

I love Lizzie in these series. I hope she comes back as a regular next time.

She was one of my favourites in Last Life. I’m looking forward to watching you next week, though! Have fun recording on Monday! And if you’re going to be allies with Etho, maybe you and False could spar with him to get the both of you ready for the many fights ahead in your future. Maybe Cub, too. People have been having fun tearing Etho down but it’s gotten old. I felt terrible for him this session. :( It was nice to see Lizzie!Pearl have a peaceful chat with him at the end. 31:36 was hilarious.
