I recommend using watermark fluid instead of lighter fluid to avoid any damage to the stamps. Certain US issues the watermark can make a big difference in the value/scarcity of the stamp. The Washington Franklin definitive series is a great example. Thanks for doing this video.
But what is the point? Why get a certain watermark versus another? This is as picking a pen cancellation with black versus blue...to me it changes nothing about the stamp.. Also once you soaked your stamp with lighter fluid, how do you remove the lighter fluid from the stamp ? When I ask what is the point I mean unless you collect all variations of each stamp then you are in for a really more difficult album completion because now you need to get ALL the watermark of a particular stamp because why only get the double and the single? Now you need all the U and P and Ss...right?
Never tried that, I have a hard time even with lighter fluid to find the watermark sometimes! Make a video showing how you use the tile and be successful, then I’ll never use lighter fluid again!
