Great share Andrew. I really liked hearing a few things about him. Nice exhibit and love the red look. The Merr Playball is a beautiful one. Love the background. Enjoyed.
Thanks for sharing. I met Johnny, in Tampa many years ago. He was having lunch alone, and we had lunch together. Got his autograph on the menu. Great guy, big hands and stocky. Ate chicken almost every day at the restaurant, everyone knew him, super friendly.
Nice presentation, Andrew. Great pickups for your "WAR" collection. The Walker card, while unique, is a nice add to your collection. And the 1941 Play Ball JVM is a wonderful card. Thanks for the information on the players. Always learning.
Awesome pickups! That Kurt Walker card is so cool, love the red tint, looks great! Love the Van Der Meer Playball too! Such an amazing feat pitching two consecutive no hitters! Good stuff man! 👍🏻👊🏻
Appreciate you watching Jim, it means a lot. Pete rose always said it’s an unbreakable record because to break it, you gotta pitch 3 consecutive and that ain’t happening
Ironically I was thinking about picking up a Johnny Vander Meer card the other day, and now I’ve seen two videos on him. The saint of baseball cards is talking to me for sure!
