When I watch Odo (by Ado), RU-vid adds English subtitles. To fully appreciate the song, it's really important to understand the lyrics, which are quit unlike those of typical pop songs; Usse Wa has even stirred controversy in Japanese society. Please look again. That said, there are a lot of Latin musical elements in the song, including Reggeaton in the middle and salsa piano at the outro. I love Hanabie's metal cover, it's a real ear worm.
This is the very first time I heard the original. I like it man! Love Hanabie version a little better because of the style of music but damn the original is cute and catchy!
Odo is my best song from Ado, when played by Hanabie lol. Mainly electric rap is not my thing. For Japanese band, check out Band-Maid, Unlucky Morpheus and Maximum the Hormone.
Hanabie owned this song and ADO should just give it to them with a "Thank You" note. I love watching Sae on this one too - she seems to be having such a blast. Harajukucore for the win!
I actually really grew into the originalversion as well, and it ended up as my top 2 song of 2021 on Spotify Wrapped. At first I only put it in my playlist because the Hanabie. cover isn't on Spotify...
@@DR_REDACTED Well, it’s much softer, and lighter, and more suited to delicate people who have been bought up on a diet of bland, faceless dance music, I suppose. 🤷🏻♂️ It’s a good tune either way, but Hanabie give it some balls.
