you can see it as a double stick version of a typical roof block with a knife stab/slash you might sometimes see :)

I always practice footwork used against multiple armed opponents coming from many directions. I might get a camera and record some of my rare double Chinese double edged sword style. It would be interesting for practitioners of FMA! I love FMA. Saved my life for sure. I'm pretty sure someone would have killed me a long time ago without the knowledge!

Thanks for doing this. Been a long time away from Arnis, and Need to go back to basics. And Pattern 1 and Pattern 3 is the basic form my master taught, as they are both based on the empty-hand brush-hold-strike pattern

Enjoying your videos so far! I had a run in with a street person while I was working in the field by myself in a field doing groundwater sampling recently and decided to look around and try to learn some basic FMA to gain some knowledge to defend myself if something like this happened again. I had a utility knife with me but I rarely find myself with a stick. Can you do some videos with empty hand/Panantukan techniques for starters?

empty hand isn't my area of interest or expertise. i'm a sports-based stick fighter 😊 self-defense is a different (but related) field of application from what i do. i'm sure there are lots of other good channels on youtube you can find for that though. 😊

I teach with a sports & art context, not self-defense. Best to seek knowledge with a self-defense context for that. :)
